Of the top 20 STEM schools in the country, how many even play big boy football? To me, this discussion ends right here. I think this topic is more about us compared to us than us to others. Recently, we have gotten fewer NFL players than in the past. I think that is related to the offense we...

Whomever can manage to move the ball with a porous OL will be the starter. That may have more to do with the quarterback’s wheels than wing.

NCAA explores compensation for names, likeness

I believe the SA's agree to give up the right to earn market determined money on the basis of their sports identity when the agree to the terms of their scholarship. Do I think that should be a part of the scholarship agreement? Not necessarily, but I do think that taking away these...

Breakout returning players in the new schemes?

Question: Is it harder to transform a heavy dancin' bear into a lean mean fightin' machine or the opposite? The answer is simple: the opposite. CPJ did the former, which is more difficult and did it his first season and with great success.

With respect to point 1, I agree the current system has inequities but mostly because the rules that guard against it are not enforced. I don't mind the SA getting a chunk of the money being generated, but any system that doesn't strive to distribute it with some kind of equity will continue the imbalance and lessen the number of schools able to compete for championships. The playing field is unlevel enough.

That's where we differ, I don't believe the free market model applies in this situation. There's already disparity due to financial differences among schools/athletic departments, this would only further the divide. I think the NCAA should strive to increase parity rather than decrease it...

Breakout returning players in the new schemes?

Okay guys, the other thread on dynamic duo got me thinking which current players on O and D are most likely to thrive in the new schemes on O and D. This is not so easy to predict, remember a lot of people thought Vic would kill it in Woody's D. Even though we didn't get to see Tobias in the...
