Couldn't agree more re: #2. 2 Victory Formation snaps were all we needed. CGC really needs to take some Football Clock Mgmt 101 courses in the offseason. His time mgmt needs work though at least we were snapping the ball with 2 secs on the game clock on our last drive.
So what's the excuse for them winning 5 of the last 6 against us even though the recruiting is on our level?
And what's the excuse for us barely recruiting metro ATL at all prior to CGC's arrival? Why are these questions ignored?
I'll again quote myself from the previous page. It'd be helpful if people read other people's posts btw.
I'm not sold on CGC yet but am willing to give him time to get his players in place. That too doesn't excuse the below btw. But this is the most-injured, least-experienced OL we've had...
That you couldn't figure out that it meant "drafted" is your problem, not mine. The FACT remains: PJ inherited a roster with 5 NFL draft picks on defense. It subsequently took PJ 11 years to get 5 players drafted into the NFL. I highlighted it in red in case you and Jorge missed it.
Which was entirely my point. I bolded the word "drafted" 7x LOL. You intentionally ignore it because it disproves your St. PJ agenda. The guy wasn't a good recruiter and we're reaping the benefits. PJ literally inherited the most talented roster in GT history and couldn't even defeat the...
The previous regime couldn't be bothered to drive around metro ATL on the recruiting trail, according to numerous HS coaches interviewed since PJ quit. Not sure what "more money" would've done. It's a lazy excuse that supports the anti-GC agenda.
It's exactly why 2013 was such a horrible loss. We don't get opportunities to beat the mutts very often and to choke away a 20-pt lead was unforgivable.
We'll be lucky to be within 20 after the 1st qtr this year. Our small'ish, young OL is going to get killed.
PJ only had 5 guys on defense drafted into the NFL that he actually took part in recruiting over his 11 year tenure here. Sorry that doesn't fit your agenda, no matter what you'd like to quote.
The difference is that, even in year 8 (2015), I don't recall the most strident of TO haters criticizing PJ the way the PJ fans are railing on 1st year coach with brand new scheme and team GC. It was obvious in 2015 that injuries made that season a big fat asterisk. Not sure how anyone can...
Did you purposely or accidentally skip the word "drafted"?

Tellingly, we've not had a player drafted since Butker in 2017. 2 full years without anyone being selected in the NFL Draft.
We had 3 players on O that got drafted and 5 players on D that got drafted. 8 of PJ's 22 starters got drafted into the NFL.
We were more loaded in 2008 than any time in GT football history, as far as I know. I can't think of another GT team that had almost half its starters get drafted, can you?
I'll assume that you agree that the 2008 defense PJ inherited was figuratively 100x better than the one GC inherited.
PJ wasn't forced to start a single walk-on at OL in 2008 nor any Freshmen. He was able to start 3 future NFL draft picks on offense (Dwyer, BeBe, Gardner) and another 5 (FIVE)...
That's 3 more players in the NFL than any currently on this roster. We'd never have another DL guy under PJ make it to the NFL.
We went 7-5 because Gailey was a bad coach with a poor QB and we fired him because of it. That's why.
