    CPJ interview - Nov 11

Had PJ's 2009 and 2013 teams beat the mutts, PJ might still be here. That definitely would've generated more income into the program. Imagine that - 2008,09,13,14,16 all being wins over the mutts. Throw in winnable games in 2010 and 2015 and there might be a bronze statue of PJ right now...

    CPJ interview - Nov 11

problem is, he wouldn't have turned the O over to Graham. It was almost certainly gonna be another year of the TO with TO running 25 QB Keepers/game and continuing to ignore what we now know are a pretty capable group of WRs. Or it'd be like the Vad pistol experiment, where PJ trots out Graham...

What part of my response indicates worrying about what anyone thinks? LOL - you really have a unique ability to completely miss someone's opinion. If anything, I could not begin to care less what people think about my football team losing. My repeated usage of the word "inconsequential"...

It's sad that I can only Like this response once, esp. the bolded part.

Strange. The only place that mentions the Citadel loss is GT Swarm. My friends who are SEC grads, ACC grads, fans of CF in general...no one talks about the Citadel. Lots of UT talk after the GA State debacle but silence on the Citadel. I think it's because we'd become completely irrelevant...

I never said you do sit in a cube all day, nor do I. You do clearly work and live in an area where the Citadel loss means much more to you than it does to me....and I live 30 miles north of Atlanta and literally host a college pool of over 50 people. Not one single fan of any other team has...

Yet absolutely no one in the national discussion of college football EVER mentions the Citadel loss and it was barely a blip the very day it happened. Why? Because it's inconsequential and just not as big a deal as we think. We've been relegated to irrelevance long before this season started...

And in the case of MTSU and almost-certainly the Citadel, inconsequential. This doesn't excuse that embarrassing debacle of a loss. But the 2013 loss to the mutts was worse.

I've literally heard nothing about the Citadel from my group of college-football-fan friends. The UT guys in my friend group have caught far more flack for their season than we have for ours. Most everyone outside of GT forums knew we were in for a long season and massive rebuild.

It's called Coachspeak. What's he supposed to say - "UVA played hard but we thought their D was a bit overrated." or "None of us were impressed by UVA's D and feel we let 'em off the hook"? He's going to be playing Bronco's boys for the next few years. You say some polite things, show 'em a...

not defending it. Just not caring about it nor wallowing in it, like some others. I felt the same about the MTSU loss, 1 of the only 2 times the team ever quit on PJ. MTSU was inconsequential. An eye-rolling embarrassment that had no ill effects on the program long-term.

never mind the numerous times I've literally said "Outside of THIS FANBASE" l0l. I'm sure that most posts of THIS FANBASE disagree. The rest of college football doesn't. The Citadel loss is inconsequential. Conversely, had PJ managed to win in 2013 (and a couple other years), who knows...

agreed and those who have that Mental toughness rise up and succeed. Those who don't miss 33 yd FGs and 3 foot putts to make the cut. Some have it, some don't.

you can't possibly blame the coaching staff for the kid's inability to make a 33 yd FG.

one has to wonder how many easy misses CGC will tolerate before something is done at this position...

I'm seeing improvement every week almost everywhere except our PKs, who are actually regressing. Not sure what CGC will do about that position in the off-season but change is needed. Graham missed a couple of easy 3rd down throws today. Good news is that he had ample time to set and make a...

don't forget all those rushing yards and B-back dive calls on 3rd & 8! Not to mention the near-complete lack of a defense.

    Wesley Wells

yeah keeping these 2 PKs on a 'ship will almost certainly cost us a few games the next few years, barring a miracle turnaround.

Geoff Collins - Head Coaching Numbers

Nope. Choking a 20-pt lead at home vs your arch rival is infinitely worse than a loss to the Citadel or MTSU. Literally, no one cared about MTSU loss in 2014, just 2 years after MTSU. No one is mocking us right now because we've not been nationally relevant for years.

Geoff Collins - Head Coaching Numbers

not even close. The Citadel is a forgettable loss in a season that literally every college football prediction got right except GT fans in this forum. No one but Citadel and GT fans will remember that meaningless game 5 years from now. No one outside of GT and the Citadel even cares about it...
