    Cuse Postgame

Did anyone else notice that Key's postgame handshake/convo with Babers lasted a little longer than typical? Maybe Key said something like "Give me a call if you're looking for work." ;)

    Cuse Postgame

Slight change in topics but I wanted to give a shout-out to our offense last night…yes, there was a shaky period in the third and into the fourth quarter where I thought “Here we go again,” but let’s consider that: Syracuse’s defense was legit. Going into the game they were ranked 41 in DFEI...

    Cuse Postgame

Agreed. We are celebrating progress. Yes, we were close to having the same record last year. But only after firing the prior coach, which makes this year's success feel like confirmation that we are continuing to get our house in order. Also, while wins are the most important barometer of...

    Cuse Postgame

To me, this is the single most important discrepancy between the no-call and the indicator rule: "When in question, it is a foul".

    Clemson Postgame

Yes, it appears that I along with other posters misunderstood what you meant. Most would agree that a QB run is part of our run game, especially when he has the option to give or pull. After all, King was our leading rusher going into the game. However, I still contend that had we abandoned...

    Clemson Postgame

I'm struggling to connect the facts you presented to your conclusion that "we abandoned the run on almost every drive." I'll give you the fourth drive, but every other drive had at least one, and most multiple, runs. Now, if you wanted to state that our passing game killed drives (due to...

    Question About Offensive Plays

I agree with your comments about our tight ends, but also wanted to add that we have gone from having tight ends that appeared to be just roster placeholders, to some that occasionally make plays. So some progress has been seen. Blocking is still a weakness against good, fast defenses.

    Question About Offensive Plays

I think there is already a bit of what you're suggesting taking place with our playcalling, but not necessarily via the process that you describe. The 2 games prior to Clemson yielded 1150 yards and 91 points. I'd say we did a pretty good job of selecting plays that worked well for the...

    CFP Discussion

Now that we know the SEC championship will be uga vs Bama, there is a plausible scenario that the committee could struggle with: All currently undefeated teams win out their regular season except the loser of Michigan-Ohio State. Bama also wins out. This is not unlikely and will result in 4...

Thanks for giving context to the bizarre box score I saw.

    Clemson Postgame

My takeaways: Clemson not only was the better team, but they played out of their minds today. Another incredible highlight-reel one-handed catch for a TD. I got the feeling early on that this was just not going to be our day. 4 picks including a pick-6. I’m hoping King learns from this game...

    CFP Discussion

I was speaking of their 2023 season game locations. Not about their SoS or future opponents. Did I say anything that was not factual? Also, do you have a good source for the SEC canceling the Oklahoma game due to realignment? I ask because Texas-Alabama happened as planned.

    CFP Discussion

Not only that, but they only have 4 true road games this year. And one of those is us, which could arguably be called a neutral site as of late. Although I suspect they just got lucky with playing the best teams at home, makes you wonder if they don't have someone with an inside track in the...

    Clemson favored early spread

Looks like there are 3 tiers in the ACC - the Bottom tier of teams with few top-100s (WF - BC), the Middle tier that includes us (Louisville - Miami), and then Clemson in a class by itself.

Tech vs Clemson - Game Predictions & Questions

I forgot about the rain forecast, which would normally favor a run game. Just checked and it (as of right now) does not look like it will be as bad as Miami. I hope that it isn't too bad for our passing game. I honestly don't know how to call this one, even though the line strongly favors Clemson.

    Clemson favored early spread

If I were calling plays for Clemson, this is what I would do. It takes advantage of our weak run defense and keeps our potent offense off the field. If I were game-planning for us, I would anticipate that this is what Clemson will do, so I'd set up to try and stop their run game and make their...

    Conference Realignment

There is evidence that the committee is actually looking at resumes and possibly some advanced stats – thus uga got bumped down a slot despite still being #1 in the AP and coach’s polls. If this is the case, I can’t see a scenario where an undefeated FSU gets left out.

    Game 10 #GTvsCLEM Media

It seemed to me that Dabo spent an inordinate amount of time describing our offense and key players at a level of detail we seldom see on this board. It also seemed like he was really concerned about it. Interesting.

    Clemson favored early spread

This is correct. We also need to continue our improvements in blocking for the guy with the ball. I noticed that our TEs have gotten a bit better at this; early-season games had many plays blown up because they whiffed so much.
