This team over came a lucky bounce for a TD at VT and no Whistle 14 point spread against Georgia. So the opponents had even more incredible luck IMHO. We did get 2 or 3 easy interceptions but most int. and other turnovers were manufactured by tough play and being prepared.
But I do...
That game would have been tighter and a possible loss which I doubt. But no way would it have sent us down hill in the way we played.
Every one keeps talking about us not being able to maintain the turnover ratio. I think it will be better. We forced turn overs. We didn't get "no whistle...
If any conference should be left out if undefeated, it is the Big 12. Preseason polls show them to be weak across the board. Top 25 TCU and Baylor then Oklahoma and sometimes a fourth. Their SoS is weak.
Thanks for response. I am going to watch more closely at replays and this coming year. Didn't realize center had veto power. Seems the QB gives OK with hand claps or leg movement and center looks back and raises head and snaps. Not sure how the count enters in. My playing days were the 50s...
It seems that shotgun centers and pistol centers have a rhythm to making the snap since they look and blind snap. Question for former players, is this true? Is it something that is looked for by our D? Never heard it discussed and am curious.
We have a lot of talent both old and new. But so do more than half the teams on our schedule. Difference is leadership, Heart, determination, and team chemistry and I think we lead them all. Go Jackets!! THWG
Skov came to us to prove he can be a dominate back. I would suspect he is working as hard as any freshman learning the plays, the mesh, and earning the respect of the his new team mates. It is going to be fun to hear about (since scrimmages are closed) our first scrimmage.

I haven't seen Watson play except the few plays against us. The two wide receivers are what make him such a potential threat. Yes he can run, but how will he stand up to a full game being pressured and hit hard multiple times. We will play one game at a time and go to Clemson ready to remain...
The biggest problem in the Tevin years, even though he did not have a great arm, was inability of players to catch the ball. This past year was first real receiving corps since Bay Bay. We are over that hump and a lot of options coming into this year including great potential freshman.
Doesn't do any good to complain NCAA dictates preseason practice schedules.
Our guys are already working hard conditioning and then doing other drills on their own a couple of times a week. They will be ready. I think the two opening games will be a good challenge to see where we are and...
A real and valued asset to this team. Our guys are working hard. Last year is gone.
The new year is dawning. This group has earned nothing. They have to earn what they want and goals they want to reach. I think they are buying into that.
