I think the announcers said the last time we have beat UGA in football, basketball, and baseball was 1998/1999
season. 2014/2015 special!! We own the Dawgs!!!
if CPJ says it was OK that maybe the most praise you ever hear. If he says "good" then we are on our way.
IIRC our O struggled against the D last Spring. It kind of showed in the first 2 games and 2nd half of GS game.
But he seems to be committed to getting eligible and that is very positive. I am sure with his potential to help our D a plan and objective grades for planned courses have been laid out. I hope he is able to make the grades. I sweated many a grade posting.
CPJ relaxed, pleased demeanor was a big clue last year. CPJ is not big at over used words of praise. Seems that OK and Good are his two positive statements about performance. He always sees room for better. Good is not the enemy of the best with CPJ. Go Jackets!!
Do we not have tutors for our players especially when some one like Jabari is trying to get caught up and eligible. If he is still struggling, he needs to concentrate on studies to get eligible rather than spring practice.
And ND is being ranked in preseason upper 10. Beating them in SBend will put us on the road to NC if we can develop some depth from the recruiting class.
I agree that last year was a meant to be season. I fully expected us to recover the onside against FSU at the end and win by a field goal. But Buckner kicked the worse onside of the year. But the difference in the Baylor scenario and last year is that the team of last year would have had...
We had to have Duke lose to UNC to get to ACCCG. The margin of success in competitive football is slim.
I am confident we will be good this year. Good luck happens when you make the opportunity for the ball to bounce your way. We did a lot of that last year. Hard hitting, swarming, film...
Reminds me of my first corporate America leadership seminar when I was told there 4 types of leaders; "Unconscious Incompetent"; "Unconscious Competent" (was good leader but didn't know it); "Conscious Incompetent" (not a good leader but knew he wasn't) and lastly the "Conscious Competent"...
I agree plus the fact our staff places much emphasis on the character of our SA along with talent. Team chemistry is a very important ingredient in over achieving and winning. Talent is also needed but I have seen many more talented teams go down in defeat by lesser talented teams.
IIRC it wasn't a smoke route. It was back shoulder right in the hands uncontested drop. Certainly not what you would expect from a future NFL star. one of those we are snake bit moments. The world is a law of averages. We still a couple of more like past year coming. But it helps to...
