Good hands number one even above blocking IMO. Physical attributes next because they can be taught to block if they are physical, Football instincts next, speed is a plus but you don't need to be the fastest to be a great receiver especially in our offense.
9-3 satisfy but happy if win coastal , ecstatic if win coastal and beat dawgs, delirious if also win ACCCG. beyond that would be incredible. We have the potential to do all that but a lot of things have to fall in place like past year.
If he becomes a good blocker like Smelter he will be able to get separation in this offense. He will learn quickly how to run routes. He is a smart, sure hands, great timing receiver. We have a good receiving corps in the making.
Sorry for Hi jack of CPJ Sez thread. Will see if it can be moved to here. Already a pretty good discussion on the cpj sez thread so this may die.

It seemed to me that we started blocking and staying on our feet instead of diving at DL feet and whiffing. Did our technique change or is that learning curve. Same with downfield blocking but there were very good take downs on the perimeter. Again change in technique or learning curve...
Never take any team for granted. Practice for each game and prepare for each game with same intensity. Know your assignments. Play hard. for each other and do your job. We will then be successful in all games.
Seeing who is returning and watching highlights of this class it is awfully hard to keep my glasses from turning rose colored. I have been watching the 1990 games and if we had a D close to that D we can make the playoffs.
Need to be undefeated and win ACCCG to be sure. Can we do it ? Yes but need a dozen or so close plays at critical times going our way and not the other way. Being undefeated over a season is razor thin in a 2015 schedule like ours. Go Jackets!!!
amazing results and advancement. It seems it could be used for several positions, particularly on defense, Safety, LB. It is observing films in spades. Seems it would would really benefit a 3O QB.
We have a stable of running backs coming in. Question is do we have a stable of blocking backs coming in. As many on the thread have said, the first to become good at blocking will be the the ones to play more. Our running backs will make yardage when there are blockers out front. Blocking...
I think our tackling has improved a lot. We still have a blown coverage's or two each game. Still have problem on third and >5.
I expect these areas to improve 2015
Great story about Koufax and Spahn but I have a problem with Watson. He hasn't played enough. It is still hype until he plays several back to back games and produces.
Chuck Bednarik was a HITTER. I was at "The Stadium" the day of the Gifford hit (courtesy of the USO) and it was in front of me. It has been more than 50 years but it is one of the memory moments that fades but never forgotten.
