I think it mostly comes down to personal preference. 1998 saw a loss to a bad BC team and a big loss to FSU, but a win against top 15 UGA and top 20 ND. 2014 had losses to bad Duke and UNC, win over top 10 UGA and close loss to CFP FSU, then big win over top 10 MSU.

We don't need guys who are 3-5 inches taller on the OL or DL, we need guys who are better football players. If we get a bunch of bigger guys who still had G5 to lower P5 offers not much will change from the 6-7 wins plateau.

It could have something to do with this year's head coach bragging about his former team's uniswag ranking and the one last year consistently saying he, personally, didn't have anything to do with the uniforms and that he let the team pick the combos.

I'm sorry, but we should never have been ranked as a 7 win team - it's why the polls are garbage, by the same token 2016 should have been ranked as a 9 win team.

And this is exactly why I'm not a fan of Collins. I like most of the rest of the staff - patenaude is growing on me.
