  1. Assistant Coaching changes in the off season ?

Cannot make any real staff determinations off this year alone. I don't think Pnode is very good, but that's not based off solely this year and he needs time to get some players that fit his scheme. I personally don't think he will ever be phenomenal, but I could be wrong.
  2. Season in review.

You can absolutely look at the formations and the sets that defenses run against you in previous weeks as well as what they run against you in previous years (assuming no opposing staff turnover). Finally you can also use what common opponents you can find. All of this is what I said last time...
  3. Season in review.

The weight cap was based off performance and wasn't arbitrarily done. If you could tote the weight and play like needed nothing was said.
  4. Season in review.

What are we even talking about here? You watch game film of how opponents have played you from previous games and years. You point out what fronts you saw, what mistakes were made, how to correct, etc. Most of the same **** other teams do except for the fact that you can't watch what other teams...
  5. Season in review.

One players opinion or perception doesn't make it a fact. Bottom line, no reasonably successful P5 coach doesn't not teach his team to watch film, just doesn't happen. Now, maybe he lost the players or his methods lost their attention, but to say they didn't emphasize or do it is disingenuous...
  6. Season in review.

Bull****. No one will ever convince me that CPJ and staff didn't have players watch film or teach them to. There was no weight cap on the OL as a whole, that myth was debunked by CPJ multiple times on the call in and pressers. The only time a weight cap was implemented was for players who gained...
  7. Where has this version of James Graham been all year?

Missed assignment is not an excuse to fumble. More experience and he sees that and eats it instead of fumbling.
  8. Assistant Coaching changes in the off season ?

Not sure Gus would be much better. He can't stick to his own formula - get a really athletic QB and use him as a runner a lot. Auburn's offense is terrible (all things considered). Gus' offense this year is keeping Aubie out of the national title. That defense is stout.
  9. Early Off—Season Thread

It will depend a lot on QB development as well. UNC has stumbled into what appears to be a really good QB and pairs that with the OK OL. We have a lot of improvement to do at that position to see overall improvement even if the OL gets better.
  10. Virginia Tech Postgame

It wasn't the media that made CPJ give up - it was the boosters who hated him, trust me on that. You're just straight up full of crap about the CPJ recruiting comment. Was he good at it - not really, did he hate it or was he too lazy, absolutely not.
  11. Virginia Tech Postgame

Collins better get on the interior DL recruiting. Without it his defense is like any other defense in recent tech history. Paul had 3 losing seasons, not 4. He won 9, 10, 6, 8, 7, 7, 11, 3, 9, 5, 7 while at GT. If you want to bash at least be accurate.
  12. CPJ interview - Nov 11

He clearly left GT because of all the admin type of things - didn't have anything to do with the roster. Either that or you believe CPJ is the type to lie. Miss how he told it like it is. Love the recruiting talk for those who constantly say he hated recruiting. He admitted the mistake of not...
  13. Pitt Postgame

Less than 200 yards of offense. Pretty awful. Graham couldn't get out of his own way today. Just a meh game. Turned them over and couldn't really do anything with it. Not much to say about it - just playing bad football.
  14. Pitt kickoff at 4p (RSN)

Paul made no bones about preferring to play early, but he also said he had no influence. I think he would have played every game at noon fans be damned, but I also believe he wouldn't lie about it.
  15. This WIN is a sneak peek of what CGC has in mind

As much as people hate it, cut blocking is a part of almost every offense until it gets legislated out of the game.
  16. This WIN is a sneak peek of what CGC has in mind

We didn't score much, but the offense was still much better this game. We actually sustained drives which ended up helping the defense tremendously. At one point in the second half we had run 35 plays to their 10. I was pleased. It was nice to see some new play packages that looked well prepped.
  17. Miami Postgame #GTvsMIA

To be fair to Diaz he was only talking about the kickers.
  18. Miami Postgame #GTvsMIA

Mason is a beast. OL is ok run blocking. The under center looks were nice. I liked the ace form looks. Adonicas is a good WR. Defense was ok/good, but offense won the day by driving the ball.
  19. Miami Postgame #GTvsMIA

Nice win. Good coaching. Made enough plays.
  20. Has Georgia Tech Football entered the Bill Lewis Era part II?

Check out Thack's press conference this week - he acknowledged that some of the defensive success in the second half was conservative playcalls from Duke.
