You will never convince me that PJ left due to anything on the field or directly associated with it. I firmly believe he got sick and tired of dealing with boosters and others withholding resources due to his offense and decided to hang it up. At the end, it was time for him to go.
I would love...
At this point I wholeheartedly disagree that the transition was a major factor in that loss. I can't really think of one tangible reason that that loss could be attributed to a transition.
I don't like Geoff at all, but it is possible that he can get the team to be half decent by year end. The NIU game looked like a train wreck to me in almost all phases of the game - just from the standpoint of everything seemed difficult. Difficult to get lined up in time, difficult to get play...
I have zero desire to start a feud with an internet persona, complete waste of time and effort. I apologize for stepping over the line and attacking your persona.
Boy you guys are a touchy bunch. It's laughable the lengths you go to to defend what is essentially a stupid statement. Just because some of us, like me, call it out as being dumb doesn't mean that we hate everything he's doing. Or that the statement was even really important. Statements not...
It wasn't a shot at the coaches, but nice try db. Talent and fit in the system is equally as important as size. The guys in the system were recruited to run a different system and don't fit the new system and the results were awful. However, they're not all Rudy sized up front.
Patelles is the LS. In no world should you average in a 5'8" LS non scholarship player to bring down the average and pretend that has any meaning. Same thing with Cade Long. The other true OL that are non scholarship aren't going to bring down that average enough when Lay is 6'2 and Wolf is 6'6...
And I am saying that it's meaningless to make that statement and include non scholarship players who aren't/weren't going to play.
Again, it doesn't matter. He's got his players coming in and has filled a gap with a good grad transfer. Hopefully that moves the needle.
Let me be clear. It might be true if you average in walk-ons who have no shot of playing. It may be true, but it's meaningless and this discussion is meaningless. Everyone knows the ol was a major problem, but the reason isn't just size.
That's exactly what I thought you were saying; the fanbase in general tends toward this one sided view of all GT games. I am one that happens to view everything GT in a more pessimistic light. I guess what I am trying to say is I didn't think you were being literal.
Overall the game sucked, but I like the aggressive playcalls on ST from Collins. I'm pleasantly surprised also that he doesn't seem to clamp down on the offense. IF he gets it rolling we could be tough and aggressive, which is fun to watch.
This recruiting class to this point is lacking at DT. Do we even have a true DT currently committed? From my memory seems like we have a couple that we hope/project may grow into it. Almost all of the OL are redshirts from the looks of it - good frames, but probably not ready to play as true...
