Takes 5 minutes to prepare for the swinging gate - just don't see the value of it vs getting your primary offense ready for different fronts and such. In all my years of watching football I have only seen the swinging gate do anything a handful of times and that includes when I played a little...
Bull****. Not saying PJ left behind an 8 win team, but he didn't retire to run away from critics because he knew we would suck. He simply got tired of the bull**** regardless of the quality of the team. He was tired of the fans who had turned on him regardless of the outcome (9 win seasons are...
Maybe, maybe not - doesn't matter. It's not that we lost it's that we can't find a way to be competitive. Can't find anything we're good at. I think the defense is starting to turn the corner at least.
Thanks for the quotes - saves me some time from listening to that trash. We went toe-to-toe with Temple, hmm no. We got beat by 3 scores by Temple, who will be a middling AAC team (and even if they're good in the AAC that's not saying much).
That front seven isn't even close to the best in all...
You act like Memphis isn't a good match up for Navy. Navy.
There are lots of teams that go under center some who aren't running the 3O. There are lots of teams who don't. I've never been a huge fan of it, but running short yardage from the gun can work.
Frankly the offense just doesn't do...
Don't think I fit in this category. I think a 7 year contract is stupid, but I am not too worried about it. I don't think it will stop a move from happening if it becomes necessary. Of course I was also a pretty big CPJ fan as well so I wasn't bitching about any extensions.
Patenaude will be here next year regardless of what happens on the field unless he gets hired away.
As much as I dislike CDP's offensive "flow" he deserves more time to get the offense installed.
As far as the QB subbing critiques - I believe that is mostly on Collins. He'll either be lauded...
I can't stand this trash comment. The insinuation is that PJ didn't value recruiting in some way, which is complete and utter BS. PJ lamented the lack of recruiting staff and upgraded facilities constantly and worked to get both. However after 2015, there was little to no chance of him getting...
Not a huge Collins fan, but don't think he owed the fans anything. He will either right the ship or not. Coaches shows are about entertainment (or should be), very rarely do you get real answers. Would rather hear from Choice again. He was awesome last week.
Don't think that's a real debate - PJ inherited more talent. It is obvious you hate PJ and think he ran the program into the dirt.
Having said that, what is a good coaching job this year - win total? 3? 1?
I personally thought 5 would be the number for acceptable coaching. Anything less to me...
And those great players were really young and PJ got the most out of them. The OL was a complete patchwork (remember Austin Barrick playing OL?).
There is no doubt that this team has less talent, but 1 win with this team will be absurd and will be a terrible coaching job. The coastal is...
I love PJ - one of my favorite GT coaches for a lot of reasons, but it was time for him to go. GT finally won and destroyed a hell of a coach and I think at the end he wasn't the coach he was when he started.
That being said, I would have preferred to go after someone else. My biggest hope...
Part of the issue with the OL has to be missed assignments. I guarantee they are not getting physically whipped every bad play we have. Usually missed assignments are compounded by trying to do too much. To this point I have been really unimpressed with just how bad our passing game looks. It...
