Now, we’ll see if this team has actually gained the maturity to play quality football as a ranked team or whether they will think they have arrived and get their butts kicked by a hungrier Syracuse team. Let’s hope it’s the former.
FSU players probably thought the GT loss was a fluke and that they could just rely on superior talent to skate past BC. Maybe now they have realized it still takes hard work, preparation and execution sometimes to overcome a motivated opponent with “lesser” talent.

I agree that it is unlikely, but if the parties were willing, certainly the future terms, contingencies and metrics could define whether the agreement would become effective or progress to the next phase, much like a Letter of Intent.
I haven’t seen the ACC Conference governing documents, but maybe some of you have. I am curious whether there would be any adverse consequences for any ACC member now, if the member entered into a purely executory agreement now with another conference to join that conference upon the occurrence...

What would the “average” fan rather have, a team that plays tough out-of-conference games, and struggles to a 6-6 record, or easy out-of-conference games leading to a better W-L record? And, if the latter, would that lead to better home attendance in the long run?
So, now that we’re in that off-season between the bowl early signing period and the start of spring practice, what is our defensive coaching staff doing day-to-day? [Please, no more cornbread recipes…]
