There is a long and distinguished list of Tech linebackers who had a nose for the ball and who punished ball carriers. Sadly, the current crop, barring some MAJOR improvement, won’t be included on that list.

The disconnect is that Tech stresses academic excellence, so spending Saturday afternoons watching our ineptitude in BD stadium creates cognitive dissonance…

Nobody wants to drive 5 hours each way to watch us **** the bed to a team like Bowling Green or lose almost EVERY time we are favored.

I lived through those years, too, and they felt like an anomaly. With the challenges of our school, NIL, money constraints, etc. right now feels more like a realization of this is what we are always going to be.

We don’t seem as strong as all the other teams we are playing and it shows from blocking to pass rushing to yards after contact to stopping opposing RBs in their tracks.

Adjusting my win prediction from 4 to 3. Virginia played UNC toe-to-toe, equal turnovers, strong running game, they just look physically stronger than we do. Sorry, but maybe next year (again 😔)…

Maybe we should consider just playing away games for a while until we figure out the alleged home field advantage thingy.
