    I love our OL!

Lee is a missile. He's so damn athletic; that he's able to engage in space and it has to be a nightmare for a SS or MLB to see a guy that size, moving like he does, heading for your thighs.

Practice schedule? Open practices? Where can I find this?

I may be in Atlanta in August for business (not sure yet), but if I'm in town, I think I'd like to swing by and check out a practice, if there are any open ones. Where can I find a practice schedule? (also, even if I don't end up traveling, because I'm in California for business now after...

    I love our OL!

I think it has the potential to be the best line Johnson has ever had. I also think it has the potential to be the best running back corps Johnson has ever had. What's wild is that next year, 8 or 9 starters will return AGAIN, and you'll have 4 OL, 1 BB, 2 AB's and 1 WR with 3 years experience...

GT 2017= what I have been waiting for on offense (Navy 2.0)

...I have been loath to get involved in this discussion, because it was not my intent when starting the thread BUT... It seems that the crux of your argument is that because they were in their playing prime 5 years apart, it is impossible to make comparisons based upon their NFL careers. That...

GT 2017= what I have been waiting for on offense (Navy 2.0)

Mills is faster, but he may end up as big. Eckel played in the mid to upper 230's, and Mills is 227 entering his sophomore year. But again, it's style. They're both violent runners with better balance and hips than you would expect for guys that size.

GT 2017= what I have been waiting for on offense (Navy 2.0)

I don't see the kaipo nesbitt comparison at all, tbh. Kaipo was a good, not great athlete, and was far smaller. Where he shined was in execution/reads. He NEVER made a bad read, because he had been running the offense since he was like in 8th grade. If GT is to have a Kaipo style guy, the best...

GT 2017= what I have been waiting for on offense (Navy 2.0)

FWIW, I'm hoping for Aaron Polanco-ish stuff from Jordan (same type of player)

Along with a B-Back who is more of a "guaranteed 5" than Dwyer, who was a homerun hitter, but broke everything outside, and an OL recruited and suited for the offense.

GT 2017= what I have been waiting for on offense (Navy 2.0)

See, now THIS is interesting to me. Good post @lv20gt The GSU thing is interesting, but don't necessarily think it's apples to apples. P5 defenses are not only more talented than 1AA offenses, they're better coached, too. So I think the question could conceivably remain regarding the...

GT 2017= what I have been waiting for on offense (Navy 2.0)

I'll repeat myself: I'm not saying navy is in any way better than gt. I'm also not talking about play calling. I'm talking about player archetypes. When I followed navy, they had rough neck b backs that weren't homerun hitters, but were a guaranteed 5 yards. The linemen weren't fatties, but...

You may be right about MJ. I have high hopes that he will spread it around. I think he's got it in him. Lol, that said I've been wrong before and I'll be wrong again.

GT 2017= what I have been waiting for on offense (Navy 2.0)

The point is exactly that they could play anywhere. You take that talent, and map it onto navys style, and you have what I'm excited to see.

GT 2017= what I have been waiting for on offense (Navy 2.0)

Is your son not one of a flight of a little light, but athletic as hell linemen? Is Mills not a riggins-esque slobber knocker? Are the abacks not well rounded kids that can kill you in any phase? I feel you may have misunderstood me.

    QB battle

In my opinion butker is criminally undervalued on this board. There are the obvious reasons, like his long leg, and his kickoffs, but also valuable was the fact that if you needed to stop Georgia Tech from scoring, you had to take risks earlier as a defense then without him. Anywhere from inside...

GT 2017= what I have been waiting for on offense (Navy 2.0)

FWIW, I was absolutely not saying that Navy is in any way better than GT. This is a question of STYLE. I've been curious to see a GT team in the STYLE of Navy, which we haven't seen yet. To me, this year's GT team looks to be in the STYLE of Navy, just more talented.

GT 2017= what I have been waiting for on offense (Navy 2.0)

It's been "you guys" up until now, so "you guys" was appropriate. It's "us" this year :)

GT 2017= what I have been waiting for on offense (Navy 2.0)

So, when I started rooting for you guys, what I wanted to see was a rich man's version of Navy. That actually hasn't really ever happened. Navy had sledgehammer b-backs (think Kyle Eckel), physical QB's that knew how to operate the offense, A-Backs that were well rounded jacks of all trades and...
