Does Georgia Tech's Offense ACTUALLY Hurt Recruiting?

Different offensive systems attract players that fit in those systems. That is pretty much the bottom line. If you look at the QB situation, do you really think there are THAT many schools ahead of us trying to get QBs who can run the option? We might lose a few for academics, but other than...

    More Accolades for Mills

Mills has blocked really well, when he picks the right guy. IMHO he is the best blocking BB since Synjin, who was the best of the CPJ era. There is so much to like about that kid. If you haven't done it, just rewind the game replay and watch some of his runs in slo motion. Every run of his gets...

Jalen Camp, Brandon Adams.... why burn redshirts??

I am not sure if I like the CL to WR idea to be truthful. Part of what makes him good is his slippery deceptiveness. Believe it or not, he lacks stretching speed (like everybody else we have playing WR) and height to be ideal for the position in our offense. Stand up blocking is a lot different...

    Have we turned into Dawgs?

Right now, I am looking for an undefeated weekend.

    Qua Searcy and AJ Gray

Generally speaking, when you don't hear a DB's named called much, he is doing pretty good. The alternative could be a lot worse. He has made some tackles. I haven't watched a defensive replay in two weeks, but I'm pretty sure he has not been picked on.

Jalen Camp, Brandon Adams.... why burn redshirts??

We will see Adams every time we defend a fourth and short or a goal line. I feel sure. We just haven't seen any. Scores are happening from further out. With that said your point is well taken. It's not like our WRs have run defensive backs out of the stadium. We deperately need to get something...

Seems like our defense almost never gets turnovers this year

We need TOs. It can't always be about perfect execution for 80 yards. Our D has been decent but there is no stronger predictor of a win or loss than TOs.

    Have we turned into Dawgs?

No, no, don't drop. Please no. It's OK if it is a struggle. We CAN be better, but for crying out loud, we just had a long long bowl streak snapped last season, one of the longest in the nation. That pretty much defines us as competitive in the division we are in. We are not a dominant program...

Seems like our defense almost never gets turnovers this year

Don't look for me to say another word. In a different thread I called for a QB hit/fumble last game and look what happened. We had two go AGAINST us for TD's.

Replay Study: GT Offense vs Miami

Yes he did. I was sitting 15 feet away. For having our signals, they sure didn't shut us down. I would expect better. It was probably later in the game before they figured them out. CFB should go to speakers in the helmet. Stealing signals goes on in every game where there are signals. It's...

Replay Study: GT Offense vs Miami

The only play I have ever called for to augment our passing game happened yesterday for a TD. I have felt for a long time that if the BB just slips out after going into pass protection, he would have tons of grass. Teams are bringing the house when we throw and the other receivers are usually...

Replay Study: GT Offense vs Miami

The checks were coming from the sideline. That is one of the best facets of the no huddle. CPJ was putting us into the right play. I don't think JT really threw a bad ball that I can remember. We had a couple drops. There is not a lot of space out there for him to throw, especially near the...

Replay Study: GT Offense vs Miami

I like the pace we played with the no-huddle. I think it got us going to the correct side and diffused some of their shifting etc. JT, played OK, since you asked. I only saw a couple of reads that would go the other way. He danced a couple times instead of getting what he could. The first...

Replay Study: GT Offense vs Miami

I would put Miami's defense ahead of Vandy but slightly behind BC and Clemson in terms of quality. They have some fast players and they made the field look small. They played 3-4 but did a lot of shifting and blitzing. Sometimes they would stack the LBs with one almost as deep as the safeties...

    Miami Postgame

Once again yesterday, CL gave us some "value added" runs after contact. I am happy for him in this regard. He has already done so more this year than possibly last year in its entirety. Good for him. I had grown used to him finding open space, but now he is making his own yards when open space...

    Miami Postgame

I like this post and I would second the notion, in that it is far more more likely that our OLs are "over-coached" at the moment, rather than not coached enough. From my experience, paralysis on the field is usually a product of kids thinking too much and not the opposite. I see it alot in...

    Miami Postgame

It was a tough pill to swallow. Some thoughts: There might not be a single team in the country good enough to give up two consecutive scoop scores on offense to these guys and still win the game. If there is, it wouldn't be more than a few. Still, we DID give up the plays. We own them and they...
