I hope we can be a consistent 8-10 win program in 2-3 years. I don’t think losing to top 5 Clemson and UGAg teams means you suck.
I don’t know if we’ve ever had two teams as good as they have become on the schedule every year.
The last three times we played Clemson they probably could have beat us by 34 if they didn’t take their foot off the gas. I don’t think it’s that insane.
Probably more than that. Collins isn't going to get the luxury of playing Richt-in-decline or Dabo before he figured it out.
Choking against mediocre and bad Ugag team's in the death throes of the Richt era will sting even more as the Smart era proceeds.
We were an average kicker away from beating the worst Tennessee team in the history of their program. We gave up 42 points to that team. UMASS with their massive athletic budget was able to hold them to 17.
Hurray!
Everyone here is missing the most obvious reason it wouldn’t work. CPJ had the most success against teams with limited exposure to the system. Look at his record vs rotating Atlantic opponents vs Coastal opponents. Look at his record/offensive production in bowls.
NFL team have giant staffs...
And getting tackled low causes more lower extremity injuries than getting tackled at the waist.
I’m not arguing it should be banned. I’m just pointing out how silly it is to argue getting hit below the waist doesn’t cause more injuries below the waist.
It’s like arguing getting punched in the...
It’s not weird. They’ve built up an entire worldview about how Tech can’t recruit/compete and Collins has come in and said it can and they can’t handle it.
...and there were just as many (if not more) accompanying lows which is why we were mediocre.
The situation Collins is walking into is that Clemson and UGag are basically guaranteed losses until things change.
I think Duke will fall off. They have owned us lately. I can't imagine Cut has that...
Our last two coaches were .500 coaches. The last one retired of his own volition. I’m not sure why the bar should be set any higher than the previous guy?
The top 10 players? The top 22 players were substantially better. I’m having a hard time thinking of a guy from last years team who starts in 2008. Presley Harvin might be it.
