Amazing coaches like: Dan Hawkins, Lane Kiffin, Butch Jones, Jim McElwain, Bo Pelini, and Rich Brooks were able to beat them during those years. CPJ lost to their three worst post-Goff teams including once with maybe our most talented team of the modern era.

Let’s not forget 2015. As bad as we were we held them to 13 points. An offensive guru shouldn’t be losing games when only allowing 13.

I loved Johnson’s three wins against UGAg but he lost four winnable games against them. We had an opportunity to rack up some wins against some mediocre uga teams and blew it.

I’m glad he’s old. Mack in his prime would dominate this coastal division.

We also got to play two FCS teams that year.

They had as many defensive players drafted in the the last 3 years as we have had in the last 13. Most of their backups were better than our starters. That’s not a stretch.

Maybe 2 guys from our defense would’ve cracked the two deep at Michigan last year. Maybe.

The disappointing thing is allegedly DB is the one defensive position we have recruited well prior to last year.

Is that poor DB play or poor coaching?

The only thing that keeps me from agreeing with this is the fact that our front seven has been so bad for so long that it’s hard to put a lot of blame on the DBs.

Is the optic of playing in a “half-empty” pro stadium against an elite program better or worse than the optic of getting your *** kicked by MTSU in a half empty stadium of your own?
