We have out of touch posters on this board who’s outlook would have been out of touch in the 70s. What bizarre alternate reality do some of you inhabit?
I don’t agree with that at all. First of all Allen had 1000 yards in a more traditional RB role before he came.
We’ve had multiple “good” BBs since and none have done anything since leaving. It generally does not translate.
Neither of those guys were recruited as BBs. Both were successful in other offenses at the collegiate level pre-BB.
Mills at juco may be the only one from Tech that had any success in another offense and that’s juco.
I love these threads because there is nothing funnier than an actual former multi year starter for our team telling the same subset of fans how things really are and them refusing to accept it.
The delusion is amazing.
Lewis left a program in disarray but I wouldn’t say the cupboard bare. Donnie Davis, CJ Williams, Steagall, Harvey Middleton, Celaj, Cheever, Jason Dukes, Ron Rogers, Lethon Flowers, Nathan Perryman...
First, you say this with zero proof.
Second it doesn’t pass the smell test. For this to happen a “good bit” there would have to be a “good bit” of players who would rather be on the scout team with zero chance of playing at a factory instead of transferring to another school where they have a...
I think a lot of posters in this thread overestimate the number of players who stay at a school when the coach flat out tells them they will not play. All these kids want to play.
1. Air Force scored 14 pts on 170 yds rushing. We just couldn’t score. This game proves his argument.
2. Defending our rushing attack probably doesn’t translate to other ground games.
The myth you have constructed about Georgia Tech football players is unbelievable. We’ve had multiple players on this board tell you it isn’t the way you think it is but you refuse to let go.
It’s not in intentional handicapping. Think about Paul Johnson. Has he ever struck you as humble? I’d imagine he probably thought he knew more about defense than every guy he hired.
