Anyone notice that in the first video of them in the locker room, the helmets were all white? First thing that comes to mind is making the team earn their gold helmets...... or they could've just not painted them yet.

Typically, the helmets have no decals during the off-season/camp. I would wager a part of it is to not burden the equipment staff outside of the season and another part related to that type of thing...don't know if there was a backstory or not for the previous staff from a "tradition" standpoint.

With the new staff, where everything is going to be earned, I would not be surprised if that plays a role in how things progress next year and possibly differ from how things were done. It'll be interesting to look for.

Coach Felder needs to give a team award(like a trophy) to whoever does the best in the off season strength and conditioning program and who shows the most improvement
