Everyone in our lineup has at least one strikeout except the lead off spot. Total of 12 thru 6 innings. Have we had anywhere near that many in any game this year?

It hurts not having Murray, Waddell, and English in the lineup. Hurter was fantastic again, but will probably get tagged with the loss and more earned runs than he deserved after an unlucky and crappy 7th inning.

Hall waited too long to pull Hurter; then Datoc had a forgettable half inning: hung a breaking ball, forgot to cover first, left a fastball up
When your bullpen is absolute crap except for one pitcher (Archer), you try to leave the starter in for as long as you can.

That was a really bad half inning. Starts with Hall leaving Hurter in to start the inming (he had pitched very well but was already at 95 pitches before he went back out). Then Joey’s throw to 2B was off just enough to pull Wilhite off the bag (probably could’ve just gotten the site out at 1B). Bailey’s decision to come home instead of attempting the double play with 0 outs is a toss up for me. Datoc not covering 1B on that tapper to McCann. Then throwing a fastball over the plate to Curry.

Well, it sucks to lose to anyone, especially ugag, but I'm not mad or frustrated about this game. By the end of the game, our lineup was Fr, Jr, So, Sr, Fr, Fr, So, Fr, and So. That is an extremely young lineup and 3 of those players (Gulberg and Wilhite split time) would not have played if not for injuries. We are due for some seriously good luck in that category. Kel is out, probably would be DH instead of Radcliffe, Waddell, English, and Murray (hope it's not serious) were all out.

Also, does anybody know if Carpenter is hurt? He would be a huge lift for the pen.

This is vague... but copied from GT Game notes heading into tonight's game:
------------------
INJURY BUG STINGS AGAIN

• GT has once again been stung by the injury bug this season, as four different
starters have missed time due to injury.
• Sophomore Luke Waddell, who has made 22 starts in the in eld for the Jackets this season, left last Friday night’s game versus Miami with a lower body injury after legging out a triple.
• Junior Micah Carpenter, who is coming off a January surgery on his collarbone, is out due to an upper body injury after having pitched in only two games thus far this season.
• Senior Wade Bailey had his streak of 93-consecutive starts snapped last weekend as he was forced to sit out game two of the Friday doubleheader at NC State with an injury.
• Fellow senior Kel Johnson has been out of the lineup for the last five games due to an upper body injury.
• Redshirt sophomore Carter Hall has been out since the Clemson series on March 9-10 due to an upper body injury.

Just can't have 2 automatic, guaranteed outs in a lineup of 9 batters. I don't want to hear about their upside, defensive abilities, projections, Perfect Game rankings, Under Armour All-American status, all state rankings, high school they played at, etc. etc. The two automatic outs are just purely overmatched at the plate when there is average or above pitching on the mound.
