We’re 3 games into a new regime after our HC quit and there are already calls for Monken or Bohannon already. My assumption is very much in line with temperature of this who have been sitting on their hands waiting something bad to happen.

Ballin I have the greatest respect for you as a former player and commentator but this was very bad. It is one thing to get blown out by Clemson or lose by a couple of touchdowns to say Miami or UNC but to lose this game and display coaching that was frankly abysmal is something else altogether. This team and coaching staff need to take a long look at themselves and decide if they want to pay the price to get better or wallow in self pity. I trust they will make the necessary adjustments and be ready to play ball against Temple. They can start by benching number 7 and starting number 8 and tailoring the offense to what he can do. IMHO

Tough loss. The end of that game was hard to watch, we had it in the bag. Down 4 scholarship offensive linemen on an already thin line also hurts immensely for getting anything going. Go into the bye, clean up the mistakes, and hope to improve. Let's move on.

I was pissed last year when I saw people coming out of the woodwork celebrating Johnson's losses. And I'm ashamed I see people doing it again this year because they think it verifies their position that we should have hired someone else. It's year one. Move on. You're being destructive to the program. Let's hope the players don't think like you do.

There's a difference between "something bad" and the debacle we saw today. And, as I think you know, I sure haven't been sitting on my hands around here.

But … like I said, it's way too early to panic.

Lol we aren't UTEP guy. We have talent

Really? If we had all this talent then we would have won today. We have talent in some positions but not nearly in all positions. All it takes is one player to blow up the play.

To expand on the O, it’s extremely concerning that our staff can’t generate more out of this group. Choosing scheme over wins is not a smart move. The excuse that you don’t have the right players and are running a different offense is admission that you are not very good at adapting to your players. Very concerning IMO

Uva. First school to lose to a 16 seed.

A year later?

Not comparing. Gt coaching was pure **** today. But. Give him time too. Fool me once shame on u. Twice shame on me.

Collins can have no more boneheaded decisions. And coach p is fool me twice status

They are tricking themselves with lucas johnson

I actually don't think the problem is Lucas Johnson (though it might be, because he seems to miss the reads on zone-options too much) but the play-calling for each of these guys. I think we become too predictable. We put in LJ on a 3rd and long and then don't protect against the blitz or throw a quick screen. In other words, I think we're tricking ourselves with all of our QBs.

It is absolutely impossible for me to understand why we still sub QB's in a series of downs. Especially when it is so obvious that TO should be playing every down. I am at a complete loss to what is going on with this coaching staff.

The OC is terrible-insists on this ridiculous QB experiment when TO is the obvious winner. Stupid play calling with whoever he has in. Have to give team chance to win...4th and 1 and continues to run out of shotgun, etc
Ridiculous timeout at end of game by Collins. He seems slow to process things that are happening during game. Poor management.
Undisciplined penalties that contributed to the loss.
I place this loss squarely on the coaches, not so much the players.

No, we hired someone because it was his dream job.
We didn't even talk to the Clemson OC and he said he'd take the job!! But no people didn't want that offense, they wanted a pro style offense. Wtf is that anyways??? Instead John dewberry got what he wished for, a used car salesman who will chant we are running a pro style offense and defense at every interview. Well good luck. We didn't have to keep the TO but damn at least talk to the Clemson OC. That would have been a much better transition!

2-10 Kansas was smacked by an FCS opponent the previous week took the defending ACC champs & CPJ lunch. They are definitely neighbors
Reading your posts are hilarious. You seem to have some weird (negative) obsession with CPJ and are overly protective of CGC, to a possessive degree. Log off, relax, and let people vent about losing to Citadel. At this point, you're losing credibility trying to defend a loss to Citadel without any criticism.

I haven't been too hard on our coaches for anything this season and I won't for this game but I will say this:

That is absolutely on Geoff Collins and Dave Patenaude not having Tobias Oliver ready to snap the damn ball on the officials whistle at 0:13 after the false start and 10 second run-off. Why did it take him 8 seconds to hike the ball??
