What? Just because you get pushed a little doesn’t mean you can go commit another foul. If he interferes with a catch after the push, that is negated, but you cannot then tackle a player w/o the ball.
You are not understanding the call. The call was the Vsndy player was pushed into Stockton which negates running into Stockton.

Very weak call.

I knew there was a reason you were once on ignore. Back you go...

I dont think you should ignore the guy just because he knows who you're married to. :sneaky:

Just kidding, b. In all seriousness, I've been squinting at him all night too.

The team lacks depth to blow out teams. We have very good starters but not the best behind them. I feel like that is where a lot of the inconsistency comes from because there will always be injuries/guys who need to sit a play or two. That being said I think we have done an amazing job at starting to rebuild that depth and it will only get better.
Yeah I think we saw a lot of holes from the starters we lost due to injury/portal as well.

Push him? He barely touched him. The defender “touching” the gunner in no way even affected the angle that the gunner was taking towards our KR,

The offensive pass interference they ignored on Vandy's first TD was severely more egregious illegal contact that was ruled incidental.

Watching the game today I realized a couple of things.

1- ES was more important to our offense than the passes he actually caught. You can never ignore a talent like his.

2- We don't have enough depth on our defense to lose 3-4 starters and still compete at the same level.

3- The bottom line? The portal and injuries hurt us today. Much more than they hurt Vandy.

Not gon' lie, I'm pretty shocked to see you say that, root4. I always thought you'd never go against the family (of officials).

Are you serious? You can’t be serious. Pushing him means incidental contact that caused him to interfere with the PR. He, however, tackled the PR, taking him all the way to the ground w/o the ball. That’s defensive holding that has nothing to do with being nudged.

Look at it this way. Defense jumps offside and O has a free play. The O cannot then commit a different penalty (say holding) with immunity from being flagged.

I normally agree with you but I didn’t see where ES would have helped at all.

Saw calls go both ways. Not the reason for the loss.
Disagree. The timing of the terrible calls…the missed punt interference followed by the horrible PI call totally turned the game on it’s head.

Absolutely turned this into a joke instead of a very solid game between two solid teams. Handed Vandy 14 points imho. No one will know how the 4th quarter would have played out if we got to start on the 40 instead of the 4. Likely we would have scored to take the lead…then..,who knows? As it was I think we lost composure and felt we had to ‘make plays’ which leads to mistakes/turnovers etc.

we will simply have to disagree. I saw nothing so egregious against GT that matches that sequence

It was weak. Tatum did a very nice job of not using his hands. That didn’t decide the game though. CBK losing his mind drawing a 15 yard penalty and tge team acting like a coach who lost his mind were the main reasons.

Self control for an HC is critical. You can get mad but you can’t curse out the officials.

Until you play like you are much better than an opponent you are not much better. We beat all three but two were down to the last 16 seconds.
Apply that to your own statement that UGA and Miami are clearly better. Selective logic here.

It was a tough loss, but about what I expected with all of the injuries and the transfer portal entries.

King isn't back to 100% and Vandy was always going to be a tough match up this year. Reminds me of that bowl game we drew against Ole Miss 10-12 years ago. I didn't think we would be able to hang then or today.

We aren't there yet but we took a huge step this year.
