The short version is I've given up on college sports. The things I like are being pushed aside and the things I don't like are being pushed to the forefront. Feels like more of a beauty pageant now than a sport to me so I'm spending my time on other things. I've always been more of a pro sports guy anyway.
I'm assuming that's the one by Railroad Park and there are a couple good spots near by. I haven't been but Current is supposed to be good but pricey. Good People has a good food truck there and it's next to a chicago style pizza place called Tortuga's that really good if you like that style of pizza. Hero Donuts has good breakfast sandwiches, better than the donuts imo. Falafel cafe is also nearby and I love that place but it's definitely a low key hole in the wall type joint.
I think the best spot for out of towners is probably the area between Morris Ave and about 5th Ave and 24/25th street to 20th. Lot of good restaurant, coffee shop, and bar options in a walkable area. It's not too far from the hotel you're at or the stadium. I love East/West (incredible wings), Pizza Grace, Gus' Hot Dogs, El Barrio, and Yo Mama's (also incredible wings but totally different style). Lot of different price points too. There are amazing fine dining places not far from more casual spots. Most of the bars around there are more of a cocktail style of bar but most of them are really good. There's some newer stuff that I haven't tried yet including a whiskey bar and a fancy restaurant with a speakeasy that are getting some hype.
