Not my evaluation. The evaluation of other coaches, the college football media, and pro scouts and coaches.
Let's not forget that what the NFL is looking for on offense is not what CPJ is looking for. That's why we went with his system in the first place, remember? We can't compete with uGa, Clemson, Auburn, etc. for the prototypical NFL offensive players, so we go to a different system that values other skill sets that not many college teams value. We only got JeT because 'bama wanted him as a DB and we agreed to let him try at QB.
We aren't trying to win in the NFL; we're trying to win college football games and to do that we chase players that fit what we need, not what the NFl needs.
Wrt defense, no argument. Until CNW can get his system in place, we are still trying to play the same defense as everyone else with lesser athletes. The change to what he does will put his players somewhat the same category as CPJ's offense.
