In spite of what I posted earlier. I have always felt a bit of sympathy for Ken. Seems like Coach Johnson gives him a hard time sometimes. Don't know why. Do they have a um past history?
Didn't Ken almost badger CPJ a few years back by asking basically the same question slightly re-worded in different interviews? I might not be remembering right...

IIRC, several years ago Ken asked about about a player injury and CPJ did not give him an answer. Ken then went to another staff member and got the info. Since CPJ did not want that info out in public he was upset that Ken skirted the rules, and chain of command, and released info that should not have been.

My issue with Ken has more to do with the general way he asks his questions. He mumbles, adds a bunch of unnecessary dialog, and dances around what it is he truly wants to know. CPJ strikes me as someone who greatly values his time. In my experience it's best to ask very direct questions to such an individual. Pose the question without mumbling in a very straightforward manner and you're going to get a straightforward answer. It may not be the answer you were hoping for, but dancing around the question isn't going to help you either.

They stated the top 7 rushers come back on offense....however, JJ Green was a senior. Stopped listening after that.
Pretty negligible mistake compared to other podcasts I listen to regarding GT. He was able to prove his premise; we have a lot of players returning. Top six rushers, four of five starting OL, and the entire two-deep on the OL.

On O, we only need to replace Shamire and Jeune. I like JJ and think he should have been more involved in the O, but he wasn't a big statistical contributor last year.

Jeune will be tough to replace, but I think we have young guys that are more athletic than him. We just have to be able to get them the ball.

He should have been more pissed at his coach. Ken is doing his job.

And Paul Johnson is doing his job. Ken can act like a beat reporter or he can act as an investigative journalist. Paul Johnson can limit assistant coach interviews, it's totally within his powers if he feels like Ken is trying to get his guys in trouble.

I'm fine with that. Just think it's a little odd CPJ cannot control his coaching staff when the talk to the press.

Did you watch the press conferences from yesterday? What did CPJ do that wasn't good? I seemed to me that he cracked a couple of jokes, answered the questions well, and treated everyone with respect.(Including Ken)

Ideally a good working relationship with the AA and the media will help CPJ relate to the press. Obviously he isn't and shouldn't be isolated completely. But if it works best for him to restrict injury reports, personnel decisions, what assistants are allowed to say, etc. then the AA should support if reasonable and work to bring media attention to other areas.

Is he the main guy holding the camera in these vids? The whole group is bad, but that guy stands out as being awful.

Nah, I think the guy with the camera is kelly quinlan, who does a pretty good job, I think. I think Johnson is most comfortable with Rod, but Rod often times leads off with a BP fastball to get PJ warmed up.

GT looks awesome so far this spring, "wherever it is that has the same values as Swofford" here we come.

Makes sense that CPJ was upset but it also makes sense that Ken was doing was journalists will sometimes do. Namely, keep digging until they find an informant or confidant that will give them what they want. No wonder the relationship is strained.

A leaner, faster, stronger Jerry Howard sounds scary as hell. Love to hear that.

Who the hell are the reporters asking Will the questions? Who is the main guy holding the camera? God they're awful. Will was great though.

Frickin love Taquon. The swag, the hair, well spoken, I really love that dude.

Yep. Taquon looks the part of someone the other players will want to follow. He just oozes personality plus. Now if he would just pitch the damn ball when it needs to be pitched I might marry him. Well, maybe not that much but I would like him a whole lot more and I already have great respect for him. I want him to think like a point guard and distribute the ball more that's all.

Wouldn't put it past him seeing how he always seems to asks questions while skirting the issue so to speak.
