Supersize, Bobby Dodd disagrees with you. He rolled out blue uniforms in the early 50’s, and said they were worth an extra TD per game. Think of what an extra 6 points per game would have meant this past year.

The uniforms used in Coach Alexander's time during the 1930s and early 40s were a drab mustard gold. Dodd decided to shake things up with the blue and gold contrasting helmets. Compared to what they had before, it may have very well been worth 2 or 3 wins. In any event, the new uniforms were sharp.

I wasn’t aware you could win games solely on the color of your uniform. We should assign a senior design project or hire a team of professionals to figure out what the optimal colors are and change our official colors immediately to take advantage of this phenomenon. Perhaps even replace the grass with turf that is the same color to gain the Boise advantage on top of it

It was the late 1940s. Dodd completely changed the culture and brought Tech up to date for the times anyway.
