CPJ: Well I guess you can only give 1 team a Bye Week before us this year, so lets what see you ****holes come up with.
John Swofford: But I can schedule 3 other teams to get an FCS opponent before you and a bunch of Byes 2 weeks before.

Georgia Tech at Pitt Sep 15th. Check!
Clemson the week after they play Georgia Southern. Check!
@Louisville 6 days after they play FSU. Nice.
But then we're against Duke after they get a Bye Week.
We have a Bye week prior to Virginia Tech. But they get a Bye Week also. So that VIOLATES THEIR RULE. That's 2 Bye Weeks now.
Against Virginia the week after they play Liberty. Check!

MORE BULL****.

Is this a joke. So much for only playing one team after a bye (duke and vt).

We also have a bye the week before we play vpisu, so the acc probably doesn’t count it.

When playing Thursday games, the rule states teams have to have equal time off. Since both teams have a bye, this doesn't violate the rule.

I think some of y'all are confused on the rule. If you have an opponent (VT) that shares a common bye week with you, then you can have another team get a bye before you also (Duke in this case).

Other than the 2 opens before us the schedule looks ok, meaning we don't play tough games consecutively. Pitt Plays Penn State before us and Louisville plays Fla State before us.

We play Virginia the week after they play Liberty (as I predicted). Virginia is the ONLY ACC school who plays a weak opponent that week.

We play Clemson the week after they play Georgia Southern (as I predicted). There are 4 or 5 teams who don't play a weak opponent that week.

And of course the 2 Byes violates their own rule.

Its as predictable as the sun rising. ****holes.

It does violate the INTENT of the rule, because Duke also gets a Bye Week before us. And the rule was that you only have to face 1 team who had a week off before playing you. Now if they're going to start chaining exceptions together, then they could give 7 teams a Bye Week before us too. The point was to have ONE BYE, not make up a bunch of bull**** to still end up at 2 or 3. They always had excuses before too.

Happy with it except for the Thursday game in Blacksburg (that’s going to be tough, we have a terrible record against them on weekdays) and having to play Louisville on Friday, if only because that’s going to make it tougher to road trip
