Sims seems like the solid pick for QB starter. Who is the #1 and #2 TE?

Keion White seems to be one edge. Who starts at our two DT positions?
Backup QB is probably Gibson, mainly due to experience.

Four intriguing possibilities at tight end, any of whom could start. Lots of options there, and I think they all see the field. We've gone from rags to riches at that position. Dylan Leonard and Benson are probably the top two, I'm guessing.

The DT's will be Chimedza and Biggers. Chimedza finally finds his footing, hopefully, and Biggers has his breakout season. Hope they stay healthy, because there isn't much proven depth behind them.

But all I know is what I read in the papers.

Which one of our big guys has that bulbous cast on his hand. Broken hand? Saw it on one of the practice videos. There hasn't been much said about key injuries so far other than our big WR (Blackmon sp?)

Blackburn, and Keion White had a cast on his hand in a picture a week or two ago, so probably him.

Who is going to kick off, punt and kick FGs?
Punting is Shanahan, he was starter last year and not really anyone else on the roster to challenge that spot. Everything I've read leads me to believe Jude Kelley has locked up the kicking job, however, I wonder if we'll see Gavin Stewart of kick-offs as he's more known for the bigger leg.

I'm also curious about who's returning kicks/punts for us. I haven't seen anything about those two but I think we've got a number of good options so not too worried.

Probably Hall on KOs and McCullom on punts.

We’re a week away. Unbelievable. Can’t wait to see what these new coaches bring.

Everyone has their own opinion obviously but WINNING games is the KEY to Collins remaining at GT thru the season and into the next.

Just WIN baby and we’ll all becomes fans of Collins- skinny jeans, dopey culture BS and all.

Jude Kelley has successfully converted 5 consecutive onside KO attempts over the last two years. I wonder if that's a record? Otherwise, Stewart does the FG and kickoffs, I would imagine.

I think Kelley and Stewart each attempted a field goal last year - both blocked.

I believe incoming freshman K Aiden Birr is out for the season.

The ambidextrous Irishman Shanahan will do the punting. Who is his backup?

Kelley has reportedly been showing out at practice and is hitting the most FGs. FG kicker is his job to lose atm from what I understand.

The DL coach was quoted in an article a week or two ago saying that Scott and Douse were the 2 most consistent DT's and he is trying to get the other DT's to be as consistent as them.
My other take away from what news we have gotten from camp is that none of the DT's have really surged far ahead of others and it may be more DT by committee with 3-4 guys getting 25-40 snaps, rather than anyone playing most of them.

So……..

Who gets the most carries at RB? Donte

Do we think Long will run any 2 RB sets?

Sims seems like the solid pick for QB starter. Who is the #1 and #2 TE? Dylan and Luke

Who starts in Slot? Do we put one of our RBs there? (Long apparently likes to get a second RB on the field in the slot) Nate

Keion White seems to be one edge. Who starts at our two DT positions? The 5 will prob be Makius, Douse, Zeek, TK and Carson.

Charlie Thomas seems like he’s going to be one of the LB—probably our SAM (Strongside LB). Any changes there?

Who plays Nickel? Kenny it seems.

Do we stay mainly in the 4-2-5? If we run a 3-3-5, who is the extra LB?

I think D Knight will see increased playing time at LB as teams will test our ability to stop run. He was a very athletic looking freshman. Now he looks like a grown man. Does become our run stopper?

If he starts winning, we'll all be wearing skinny jeans and going without socks. Naahh...
It has been a very long time since I fit in anything skinny.

Now as far as the socks go, I spent some time in the tropics and was barefoot a good deal of the time. I wear socks at work, running/cycling and when dressed up to go out. The rest of the time, no socks and a good bit of the time it’s barefoot for me.

Frosh I have heard good things about on D are DB Clayton Powell-Lee and IIRC DL Horace Lockett.

Frosh on offense- WR whose name eludes me but someone else can fill in

Long mentioned Billy Ward has improved at TE and said something to the effect that he needed to because he likes to at times play 2-3 guys. Said Peje Harris as done well.

Still unproven at position, however seems like we have at least 4 serviceable options.
