The state of Arkansas has produced exactly 10 4 star and above rated recruits in the last 4 years according to Rivals. Your average SEC powerhouse (Bama, UGAg, LSU, Florida) sign more than that in one class. You have to go into Texas and other SEC powers' backyards and recruit HEAVILY at that job. It was not that way back in Frank Broyles days. There's plenty of money and support for the athletics program, but with that comes unrealistic pressure.

In fact the academic rigors of Tech nearly did Gailey in. He wasn't prepared for that coming from the NFL and had to endure Flunkgate.

Riley coached 13 years before he became head coach,. He coached under Leach and Stoops. He also took a stop as OC in Eastern Carolina. If we could get an assistant who had the type of experience and tutored under two very good head coaches I am all in. He is an obvious choice.

Elliott’s resume does not compare to Riley’s. Collins is a lot closer to this.

True but don't kid yourself. Coach Broyles was an outstanding coach for his time. His 1968 Arkansas team beat the SEC champion Bulldogs (One of Dooley's very best teams that beat us 48-7) in the Sugar Bowl that year as a heavy underdog. Let me tell you, they flat wore Georgia out.

Yes, but years later they were playing number one Texas and Sports Illustrated did a cover story on the coming game and wen t to great lengths to write about how poor and backwards Arkansas was compared to Texas. A Texas coed was asked to characterize Arkansas and said something to the effect that it was "...an icky place where they sell cider on the side of the road". Needless to say this was plastered all over the locker room at Arkansas and the Razorbacks pulled a huge upset. Lack of 4 and 5 stars notwithstanding.

And Saban has one at Lake Burton and was in partnership to build and sell another one until the recession got them
