Arkansas was 11-0 National Champions in 1964 That's better than a regional powerThere is one reason and only one reason for the appeal such as it is for Arkansas. You are the flagship state university with unlimited majors, near total dominance of instate talent and proximity to Texas. This is what attracted Frank Broyles from being an assistant at Georgia Tech to take the head coaching job at Arkansas according to Coach Dodd. He actually did quite well for himself in making Arkansas a regional power for many years.
The state of Arkansas has produced exactly 10 4 star and above rated recruits in the last 4 years according to Rivals. Your average SEC powerhouse (Bama, UGAg, LSU, Florida) sign more than that in one class. You have to go into Texas and other SEC powers' backyards and recruit HEAVILY at that job. It was not that way back in Frank Broyles days. There's plenty of money and support for the athletics program, but with that comes unrealistic pressure. There is one reason and only one reason for the appeal such as it is for Arkansas. Or the Falcons
Not every younger coach hire is B*** L****. Was Lincoln Riley a mistake for OU? And are we talking simply age or an experience issue, because some of the younger guys who've been in the college game have far more applicable experience than a career NFL guy who may be older? In fact the academic rigors of Tech nearly did Gailey in. He wasn't prepared for that coming from the NFL and had to endure Flunkgate.

Please don’t mention the Falcons. They’ve ripped my heart out too many times.

He should try being a Saints fan instead...at least we didin't blow our one chance at a Super Bowl!Probably a whole lot easier being a Tech fan.
And Saban has one at Lake Burton and was in partnership to build and sell another one until the recession got themHe also has a house in Florida. these days football coaches buy houses. Everywhere. Up to the tax deduction.
Who’s telling you ?Hearing a lot more talk that this is KW’s job to turn down.
Hope he does....Who’s telling you ?
