As much as I dislike the new normal, more objective eyes suggest we are doing quite well in the portal. Net gain so far
This is point I made a week ago about thr sort tier system in the Transfer Portal. Right now GT is viewed as sorta one of the upper mid tier programs so can generally yearly end up as a net gain. Your gonna lose some guys like Singleton now and then but your still have a good shot of keeping most contributors and then pick up talented proven talents at the G4 level and also P4 players with experience and either looking for a chance somewhere to be more or had some set backs and looking for new start.

I love the Hosely pickup because Jamal Haynes Senior year. He's gonna fit in that rotation nicely to try and keep Jamal fresh and healthy then carry on the following year and the 4 guys of Haynes/Alexander shifty along with Hosley/Carrie little more head down and go type runners the RB room is looking deep

Wouldn't surprise me if we buck the trend of this season's transfer strategy on the interior DL and take a player or two from a P4 school who didn't see the field as much. Size matters a lot on the interior DL, and it's just hard to find players big enough from lower-tier schools to fill the gaps (figuratively and literally). May be that we're waiting on athletes from playoff teams to enter the portal and/or the spring portal opening.
I agree. I think we need another Biggers size guy or two for short yardage and goal line situations. Sorry Lockett decided to leave. There's a story there somewhere. I figured he was Zeke's heir apparent.

RB room is getting pretty crowded, next year it’ll be -
Jamal - SR
Chad Alexander - JR
Hosley - JR
Carrie - SO
Maddox - SO
Groves - FR
Marshall - FR
Powell - FR

Really liked what we saw from Maddox this year before he got hurt, I think he’s got a really valuable size/speed combo that the rest of the room lacks, hopefully we find a way to incorporate and retain him in the offense in 25. Would assume the 4 main backs would be Haynes/Hosley/Alexander/Carrie, then obviously injuries etc would shift that around. Lot of talent, harder to hoard it than ever.

The RB room will thin itself out via portal at some point. I hope not but the reality after spring practice is guys will know their place in the pecking order and if they aren‘t happy with being 2,3,4,5 then they’ll leave.
Yeah the odds are really good that some team breaks Spring unhappy with RB depth and is willing to pay for one of ours...business is business

If he was #18 in the spring game, he looked good. I wondered during the season where that guy was.

UPenn not Penn St, point still stands.

Our underclassmen RBs will be very good as well. Hopefully, we can get the RBs going so King doesn't have to run as much.

BTW...man, this offense is going to be FUN! We may have one of the top slot WR combos in the country with Rivers and Rutherford. IMO, we might have lost Singleton to Auburn's $$$, but this position came out net positive in the end.

Makes sense. It's rare that a guy with a lot of size and skill would be at a lower-tier school after being productive. Probably better to target that from p4 spots.
Good in theory but there is a learning curve (at least) on going to play at P5 level.it usually takes yr or so depending on the guy.Rutledge is the first guy to break that barrier I can remember.
I would really like an exp'd Ctr to come.A key spot that has no exp now.
