I mean. Small conf guy. Who knows. Lets pray.

Offense is and will be top 10-15 team legit. We may destroy alot of teams.

I love the secondary

And. Now. The linebackers look legit

DL. Eh.

This is really close to a 11-1 10-2 team ya’ll.

It may be playoff time.
True but Keion and Jared Verse were both lower level guys that translated well.

No one said they cant. Certainly not me. But. Generally its less not more. Lord knows the nfl is full of small school kids.

Thats why i said lets pray.

Not personal. But its funny cuz the typical tech fan points to the one offs vs the percentages. The whole concept of engineering is percentages and confidence of failure rates. Lol.

So. My confidence of failure rate is higher. Simply put.

Usually I check to see if a guy making a jump up to P5 has played against anyone on this level. This season, Mercer played against 'Bama. It looks like Manley did not play that game. In 2023, they played Ole Miss. Manley did not register any stats.

Keep in mind, he was a freshmen in 2023, and is a sophomore now. You take chances with highly productive non-P5 guys. This guy was productive his sophomore season, and with P5 level development, could be an impact contributor.

EDIT:

This guy was an athlete in HS. Probably why he was overlooked. Reminds me a lot of Eric Henderson who played QB and defense in HS because he was the best athlete on the team. Manley represents a high ceiling player that's just tapped into his potential.

He closes QUICK:

He can take the field. Can he beat uga? Osu? What’s your target? Taking the field? Nah.

My target is playoffs.
When you look for a small school guy, what do you want?

1. Dominated lesser competition - check
2. Athletic potential/room to grow - check (no confirmed measurables but played QB and has a great first step)
3. Interest by other high-level programs - check (visited UNC, Louisville, Pitt, Indiana, UVA)

Feel pretty good about his chances of translating.

The Green Bay packers took a chance on a DII QB in the mid 70s who worked out fairly well for a few years. From the ATL area too.
ah. The classic tech guy. Point out the exception not the total average. You. Are. Fired. Engineers analyze on the percentages. Not the one offs.

And he isn’t.

Could he workout against the odds. Absolutely. I hope he does. But the going in disposition is backup.

God. It hurts to be real. Lol
