Thank you. Now for those more knowledgeable about such things. Will someone list, I don't know maybe a few of the ones we will miss the most or that will be most difficult to replace? From what I have seen as a casual observer, Height might be the hardest to replace. Sorry about that Singleton fans but fast wide receivers are a dime a dozen particularly small ones. The offensive linemen concern me as well but not sure of that. I guess I would put Singleton second on this list. Never mind, someone had already given their opinion Made sense.

Corey was sharing the LT job at the beginning of the season with Jordan Brown. Then once Ethan Mackenny got healthy he was sharing the LT job with Ethan. I think you can call Corey a starter but I also think we have a guy who got a lot of reps and was coming on strong in the second half of the season in Ethan.
Maybe that is why he is leaving? Writing on the wall and all that.

imo itd be height and Lockett mostly because we lost a ton of seniors at edge and DT. I think we are in pretty good shape elsewhere.

Height and Van D Berg were our only 2 returnees with significant ’24 snaps.

Thank you. For the love of God, give us linemen. Big, strong, ugly, fast. Sort of like those two Alabama defensive ends back in the day. One of them out ran John Dewberry to the corner and damn near decapitated him. Can't remember their names but they were all business. Florida had a defensive end/linebacker from the late 1980s named Wilbur Marshall. Scary how such a big man could run like he did. The closest thing I can think of that Tech has had was Marco Coleman, Greg Gathers Derek Morgan. All fine football players.

Not sure we need to track freshmen walk ons who've never seen the field?
At one of cpj last games i had pleasure of meeting the parents of a 4 year walk on who never played a down while he got a degree in nuclear engineering. Cpj let him lead the team on to the field while holding an american flag in his upraised right arm.
They were so grateful to gt football. .

.i wonder what he is doing.

I do know seeing the wrek and a player carrying the flag means a lot more to me for having met his parents.

That's a great story, and I'm sure you can see the difference between a walk on who gave 4 years and earned a degree vs one who was here less than a year and is leaving with nothing.

As far as ranking the value of those who are transferring, my rank order would be:

Singleton
Seymore
Robinson

The rest of them either never saw the field or were minor contributors. Singleton was a very good player, but not All-American level. Seymore was developing nicely and was not afraid to lay the lumber. I think he may be missed even more than Singleton just due to the numbers we have at both positions. Robinson was a solid player, but we have plenty of depth to fill in behind him.

I think the incoming transfers will more than adequately replace what is leaving.

Go Jackets!

I agree that Seymore was a bigger loss. But DB’s and WR’s are easily replaceable. But Seymore seemed to have a knack which you do t always see in a DB. Singleton is just an everyday WR. He’ll regret his decision because Auburn’s offense is what ours was 2 years ago - sporadic.
