Every Coastal team already has st least 2 conference losses. And except for VaTech (who will lose to Notre Dame this week) everybody has at least 3 losses overall.

We beat Miami on the road, who then beat Pitt. So on paper Putt is no better than Miami and we play them at home. Let’s go!

Don't want to kill anybody's buzz, but Pitt is a very experienced team with a stout DL and a couple of very good DBs. We are not the favorite for a very good reason.

We were not the favorite against Miami either, and for very good reasons. And yet we beat them, and on their turf and against atrocious officiating too.

Yes, I think at one point they led the nation in sacks.....so we don't need to be doing any drop back passing. Run the ball outside and speed options to set up play action. 70-30 run to pass is the right mix and we will win. Also their offense is anemic.

I like our chances against Pitt after watching their Miami loss yesterday and seeing the improvements we have been making week to week on offense.

I am most worried about their short yardage running game. They have a good one using one or two tight ends and an occasional extra OL player. We do not match up well, and we have no short yardage game in the gun with Graham.

When they had to have it, Pitt could not punch it in against Miami's defense. We have a good shot but we will have to play like we did against Miami. That may be a tall order. They have a wide receiver who is pretty good, I think his name is something like "French"? Miami did a pretty good job of shutting him down and in limiting Pitt's rushing game. Pickett is not going to beat us running the football and if pressured he will throw bad passes which Miami was able to get a couple of turnovers. Maybe we can do the same but Pitt is pretty stout on defense. Pitt outgained Miami in both rushing yards and passing yards to no avail.

That Pitt receiver is Ffrench (not a typo). Pitt on a good week can be a solid football team. They gave Penn State a run for their money and in a scintillating game beat a pretty good UCF by a point. I'm not saying they're a powerhouse by any means but they are going to be a handful and a challenge. I hope the off-week helps us and doesn't make us rusty. Pitt's up and down like everyone else in our division and you don't know what you're going to get from one week to the next, but my guess is they'll be ready. Miami was awful on offense but played some damned good defense to beat them. If we pull our chinstraps up tight we have a chance to win.

Thank you for the correction. His name is indeed Ffrench and he is a fine player. Nonetheless, they are only averaging 21 points a game and are only giving up 21 points a game. Their team stats are as tight as they can be. They are limited on offense because they struggle to run the ball and put everything on Pickett who is a good player but not good enough to carry a team. In spite of it all, they have won 4 games (I think) and lost to Miami, Penn State, and UVA. The only true blowout loss was to UVA in the first game. Can't remember if they beat Duke or lost but it was a nail biter just like Miami either way. They are a 9 point favorite and their board is mystified by that number given how much they have struggled on offense. Still they fully expect to beat us, just like Miami did. Funny that. Really tough team to throw the ball long on because of their pass rush.
