In all reality we are going to have a tough time winning even one or two more games...please don’t get your hopes up.

The S & P says we should only win one more, but who knows? I will continue to watch to see improvement, but whatever motivates folks is fine with me. All of our ACC games are winnable, but we have zero margin for error.

If we can stick to the Offensive game plan we had against Miami I think we could win all the remaining ACC games. No body we have to play is that great. UVA on the road is the one I worry about the most. Looking back we really should have just started Graham and get him experience. It is now clear to me he is our QB. I love Tobias and he can be number 2, and play WR. Also we got some guys back from injury...

Win all the ACC games and lose to uga , or only win 2 ACC and beat uga which would mean no bowl ? Pick one and yes I know everyone want to win out, but pick one of the other 2 .

In all honesty, if Tech is not going to win the Coastal this year, I am hoping for UVA to take the division. That would mean each team would have won the division is the past 7 years. Now that is the definition of parity, or to the rest of the college football world why the coastal sucks.
That has been my position from the start of the year. I bet that this would be the first time in college football history that each team within a division won the division in consecutive years! The costal is by far the most competitive division in college football!!!

I mean Virginia just loss to a marginal Louisville team. They nearly lost to Old Dominion. Pitt just lost to a bad Miami team. Duke lost to UNCheat LOL. Everybody in the Coastal already has at least 2 conference losses, and every team except VaTech has at least 3 losses overall...and VaTech may have only snuck through that stat because they had a bye week.

Packer and Durham we’re talking about the parity this morning. From the perspective of great football teams, no, but the games are pretty much ALWAYS interesting. We have 40% of the games decided by one score. There isn’t another league close to that. One of these days we’ll have an alpha dog step up, but for now it’s fun football to watch...

Alternatively, someone on Reddit put together a scenario where there could be a 7-way tie in the Coastal. I hate the national perception of the division, but I do love that every week anything can happen.

If it happens just like that North Carolina wins the division by virtue of a 4-2 division record. Do I get extra credit?

Our best chance of beating Clemson is to have all 7 Coastal teams take the field together.

Current status of the Coastal Division:

Team, ACC Record, Overall Record
Virginia, 3 – 2, 5 – 3
North Carolina, 3 – 2, 4 – 4
Virginia Tech, 2 – 2, 5 – 2
Pittsburgh, 2 – 2, 5 – 3
Duke, 2 – 3, 4 – 4
Miami, 2 – 3 , 4 – 4
Georgia Tech, 1 – 3, 2 – 5

The entire division has only 1 loss all year to a team with a losing record - that was us over Miami.

If we beat Pitt, North Carolina beats Virginia at home, Virginia Tech loses at Notre Dame, and Miami loses at Florida State...(Duke is off)...ie what the betting odds are showing (except for us), here will be the standings come Sunday.
Team, ACC Record, Overall Record
North Carolina, 4 - 2, 5 - 4
Virginia, 3 – 3, 5 – 4
Virginia Tech, 2 – 3, 5 – 3
Pittsburgh, 2 – 3, 5 – 4
Duke, 2 – 3, 4 – 4
Georgia Tech, 2 – 3, 3 – 5
Miami, 2 – 4 , 4 – 5

Virginia Tech, Pittsburgh, and Duke have all beat each other and would be in a 3-way tie.

If Miami beats Florida State, it would look like this:
Team, ACC Record, Overall Record
North Carolina, 4 - 2, 5 - 4
Miami, 3 – 3 , 5 – 4
Virginia, 3 – 3, 5 – 4
Virginia Tech, 2 – 3, 5 – 3
Pittsburgh, 2 – 3, 5 – 4
Duke, 2 – 3, 4 – 4
Georgia Tech, 2 – 3, 3 – 5

Miami beat Virginia, so if they win this weekend, they're 2nd in the division...if they lose they could be in last place.

North Carolina finishes @Pittsburgh and @NC State, so they probably MUST win this weekend home against Virginia to stay in the Coastal race.
Virginia finishes home against us and home against Virginia Tech, so they could still push for a tie at the top even if they lose to North Carolina.

I will root for UVa to beat U(sic)NC this weekend. I would much rather the Wahoos get the title and I think UNC will win of the remaining two games after this weekend, and them at 5-3 (1) eliminates us and (2) might be enough to get them to Charlotte...an idea which I find reprehensible.

So done the math and not even guaranteed well make it to the ACCCG but still worth a try and pass some time
Virginia: 4-2 with games against: Georgia tech and Virginia tech
Pitt: 3-2 with games against: UNC, VT, And BC
UNC: 3-3 with games against: Pitt And NCST
Miami: 3-3 with games against: Louisville and Duke
VT: 2-2 with games against: Wake, GT, Pitt, and UVA
Duke: 2-3 with games against: Cuse, Wake, and Miami
Georgia Tech: 1-4 with games against: UVA, VT, and NCST

Now for every thing to go right you can calculate the probability in your own time how every you like just know it's extremely low

Now we first have to have UVA loose both games agianst us and VT That puts them at 4-4 with us getting tie breaker over them

Pitt beating us doesn't help in any scenario but the better of the 2 is they loose all 3 remaining games

UNC needs to beat Pitt and loose to NCST. simple.

Miami needs to loose to Louisville and beat duke

VT needs to beat UVA and Pitt and loose to Wake and us

Duke needs to loose 2 out of three for us to not worry about them they should beat Cuse and loose to Wake and Miami

Like i said extemely low odds next year we get the pieces that we need get to about 2nd 3rd or if somethings go wrong win the coastal but i expext a costal title in at least 3 seasons and an Acc title soon after
Go Jackets!!!
