Watched Highlights of cuse and ohio few takeaways

1. Ohio is undersized on lines
2. Syracuse has good WR's
3. Score may be a bit skewed that one Pick came when ohio was down 16 off of a tip odds are that game get's a closer score with how they moved the ball.
4. Syracuse doesn't run it much
5. I'd take the over syracuse in a way reminds me of how we were last szn good O poor D plus best LB out helps us a great amount.

Here are some numbers from the Syracuse vs Ohio game

Ohio couldn’t throw the ball. Maybe that’s the Syracuse pass rush, or maybe Ohio doesn’t have good receivers. They could run, even though Syracuse knew they were running

The Syracuse RBs did nothing. Their receivers were the offense. Maybe Ohio was too focused on the run.

This will be a different game than our last two.

The team will need to be focused to win at that place. We've just come out of two physical games and we look pretty beat up.

To me this comes down to whether or not the staff can keep the team geeked-up for the third consecutive week? If they can, I think we take this. If not, we could be sunk by big plays.

It's a pick 'um.

Probably the hardest part of being a top-tier college football team is bringing IT every single week, no matter who/where/when you’re playing. This becomes exponentially harder for a team like GT that doesn’t have the physical talent to outplay teams every week, or the depth to make up for key players missing or limited in games. Not only do you have to be physically ready to play, you have to bring IT mentally as well. One lapse in judgement, one little miscue, one mental mistake from the coaches or players can send your season spiraling out of control. I think CBK and staff are going to do as good of a job as they can to get the squad prepared. But at the end of the day, these are a bunch of 18-23 year old boys, and nobody really knows what they might do next.

You naysayers need to get your minds right. We’ve won 2 IAR for the first time in 6 seasons. Syracuse will not be able to stop RUN THE BAWWL. Control the clock, control the game.
That works on O.

I think walking out of there with the W not only involves controlling the ball on O but limiting big plays: limiting chunk plays by their O, miscues on specials and turnovers by our O.

Is this the best passing attack we've seen yet? Seems likely. Will we finally get to see our pass rush?

We are a 12 point underdog. That's the only way to think about it and come out with an underdog attitude.

No 19 is a big weapon for them. Is No. 1 out? He got hurt at some point during the Ohio game. McCord is definitely good.

I'm excited.

Where are you getting this information? Looks like we are a 2.5 point favorite which is essentially a pick em.

2.5 Gt favorite is what I’ve read

He didn't mean that literally. He meant it would be beneficial to approach the game AS IF we were a 12 point underdog.
Thankyou Mtn. Yes, we may be "favorites" on the betting line, but the team needs to think of being the underdog at the un-Carrier Dome. It will be hostile and we need to know they will be bringing it.

Seriously, our defense will be tested. But I watched a good bit of their game against Ohio. Maybe first-game issues allowed Ohio to keep it close for 3 quarters, but I think we are better than Ohio.

Me too. Winnable game, but this is also exactly the kind of game we blew during the Collins years. Would be thrilled to see some consistency from a Tech team.
Are we going to say this every week? 😂 I get it, I’m conditioned the same way (something bad is going to happen just as things start going good). I feel like our coaching and talent are now at a level where we can lift our expectations a little. This will be a tough game no doubt. We definitely have things to work on this week after last night but I feel confident Key and Co will get the boys up for it.
