I would love to hear why the Falcons passed on Gurley.
Falcons defense overall and O-line have pretty much sucked the last couple of years.I would love to hear why the Falcons passed on Gurley.
As talented as Gurley is, taking a RB that high who is coming off of an injury when you had the worst defense in the league the previous season would be foolish. I thought Gurley would have been a good pick in the 15-20 range. Anywhere in the top 10 was a stretch.I would love to hear why the Falcons passed on Gurley.
Dante Wigley reminds me a lot of Kevin Johnson of Wake Forest that just got drafted. Taller CB with a thin build...I think Wigley will be more physical though. Dante loves to hit.

No joke. The pass rush was weak. But of course, we could have taken Gurley if they would have been smart and taken Sneezy instead of Hageman. As talented as Gurley is, taking a RB that high who is coming off of an injury when you had the worst defense in the league the previous season would be foolish. There should be a bunch of good running back prospects still at our second and third picks. Elite pass rusher? Probably not.
