Ndongo is still going to run the Pick and Roll with George a whole lot this year. Ndongo is a very good decision maker when he gets the ball, attack the rim, pull up for a 12 footer or kick it to the open corner guy for a 3. George was exceptional as a passer to Ndongo off the Pick and Roll, especially for a Freshman. If George can attack the rim and hit the floater he developed as the season progressed they are a deadly combination on that play. George also became more proficient at hitting 3 late last season. If he can hit 3s when the defender goes under Ndongo then look out!

Yeah, you can still run pick and roll from the 4 . George hit some great 3's last year. Two at Clemson to send it to OT.

There will likely be teams with physically large front lines that we match up better with Ndongo at the 4. But our offense really needs the other team to have to defend the 4 spot in the corner to keep the floor spaced and the lane open for the pick and roll action. Last year when we started games with him at the 4 very few teams committed to guard him on the perimeter allowing them to help in the paint. So while I used 3 pt % as the marker, the real point is he has to shoot well enough from the perimeter to keep teams honest playing him out there which didn't happen last year. Let's see how well he has developed over the summer. 🤞
Hopefully Ndongo can hit enough threes to keep the defense guarding him outside, and can play the 4 except when it provides a competitive advantage to put him at the 5.

You can unless you have an actual center on the low block. Then there is a defender already there and no one in the corner to open the lane or be open for a 3 point shot.

All this wishing for Ndongo to become a perimeter shooter is taking him away from his strength which is Pick and Role and 12 feet and in. He is a good offensive rebounder as well. He was an LL ACC Freshmen last year playing as stated above. Play to his strength. Anything outside that is just a bnus. There are no new gys who can come close to doing what he did last year on offense in the role he had.

Just starting following Ibrahim Souare on IG...he looks developed physically so I went back to youtube and found this one from a year ago that I must have missed. After a year on campus with his jaw dropping physical tools there's definitely a reason he's still here.I believe he'll have a breakout year as a shot blocking, rim running, lob catching rotational player with the potential to be special.

Yep he should have four years to develop. He reminds me of a GT player in the late eighties,

If he has been able to add size AND maintain any of that athleticism, I would tend to agree with you. Often being the biggest person on the floor, he was all over the court!

He is a big unknown for us next season. Most don't know much about him. I'm not sure anyone outside of the team and staff have a feel for what type of impact he might make.

Hoping this unknown will be bring excitement as a CDS best kept secret. Pretty sure he really likes this kid for a number of reasons. He practices hard and follows instructions. Is a great team guy and biggest cheerleader on the bench. As reported by KQ, he is Nait George’s best friend on the team. All big factors, but if he can’t play at an ACC level and contribute to winning games, he’d probably be gone by now. Maybe a nice big surprise coming.
