My way too early, possibly problematic look at potential GT Hoops roster management

I like the large Double QPwC combo at McDonald's.

Double Quarter Pounder with cheese, Large Fries, and of course washed down with a large Coca-Cola Zero (have to save calories somewhere) combo meal.
So your notion of a combo is you can go with calories for awhile and go without calories for awhile all while eating in the same position.

Am I stretching this conversation too far?

I really think McCollum is starting at the 2. He didn't come here to be the 6th man.
Reeves and Kelly had the most starts last year. I don't believe Reeves stayed to not be a starter. So what is your backcourt?
Based on last year's stats, McCollum does not shoot the 3 ball well enough to start from the 2 in my opinion, but that's for the coaches to figure out.

I would say our starters for game 1:

NTG
McCollum
Reeves
Ndongo
Doryan (depending upon his preseason. I think you know what you're getting with RM. Id give DO first crack at the spot and see if he grabs it with both hands.

Im a pretty big fan of two point guards on the floor. McCollum did struggle from deep last season but alot of those struggles came during the final 10 games of the season. During the first 19 he shot 36.4%

Dr Pepper Cherry Zero is the best of the "Zero" drinks. I'll fight someone over that. (Not really, but it's still unquestionable that @kg01 has terrible taste in ice cream...)

The best of the zero drinks remains water. Iced or straight from the tap or filtered, it beats everything Coke or Pepsi is selling.

Where and what time are we fighting? :)

You're not wrong, but I've never seen a "Zero" label on water...
That's because it's actually better than the zero drinks and still has "zero" calories. Coke and Pepsi are free to put whatever label they want on their products, but the City of Atlanta is selling water. No other label is required.

Terry and Mustaf will be in the 20+ mpg group. Depending on their play, Powell and/or one of the centers will be in that group as well. Expect a rotation of at least seven. Hopefully eight or nine.

Also, based on 2023-24, don't pay much attention to the starting lineup CDS plays. Watch who finishes games.

If this year goes as I think CDS wants, we should not be seeing 3-4 guys with 30+ mpg. I believe he wants to give his key guys less minutes so they are fresher at the end of games.

We shall see. I think OBrein is going to start at PF with Ndongo playing center. The others I agree with you. I know its not a big lineup but OBrein can do a lot of things and I think we will decide we will give up some size to get his versatility on the court. There will be times Ndongo moves to PF and OBrein moves to SF but the starters will be our best 5 and these are the best 5. I agree with you otherwise although think Terry has a shot to be at McCollum out but probably not.
