With Ryan king and if we get Gowdy as cureently predicted , this will be first time since 07 we have 2 top WR recruits.
As coach says players got to make plays.

The kansas defeat was because came out and played like their hair was on fire .

Mtsu scored again and again because they stole our defensive signals.

These games were lost bef o.j re we started.

Our style of play made games close due to slow pace of play calling and lack of passing . We were close at end of a lot games. When we had megatron or D thomas we were better at jump balls that win close games.
I am stunned that we had defensive signals. Unless they were the ones for "Miss every tackle" or "Play way off the receivers else you might impede their ability to catch the ball"?

More seriously -- and those questions are not entirely facetious -- Kansas was awful and should not have whipped us even with a flamethrower on their rears. Not ever. I think it was more the flame went out and our guys just kinda showed up. More or less.

I wouldn't say Kansas whipped us, though I agree it should have never been that close. If I remember correctly, on one of the last drives we called a play where we had to make like a 5 yard pass on 4th down or something and I think the receiver was hit in the hands a dropped the ball. I think in 2010, we were just really lacking in clutchness.

Okay, "Lacking in clutchness" is the post of the week and enough to guarantee my surrender on the whipped front. Soon I will use that and claim credit for it.

Strange game. I remember the mutts twisting Nesbitt's leg at the bottom of a pile. I also remember the 2nd best wr ever to grace the flats missing a gimme pass on 4th down.

Didn't Stephen Hill also catch a ball on the final drive inside the 5 yard line, but with his foot just out of bounds?

What...Stephen Hill actually held onto a pass?

Joking, but he did have too many bad drops along with some great catches.
