Speechless... as much by the 'Cuse surge this postseason as today's win/UVA's collapse. UVA is going to feel this one for a long time - really tough way to go out.

Unfortunately for my bracket, my fandom didn't get in the way of common sense.

I'm pretty sure most don't even know what Syracuse's violations were. They see the big hammer and assume the punishment was proportional to the crime. It's sad as a fan that 'Cuse gets lumped in with UNC / Louisville / SMU / Miami fball / Penn State fball.

The jokes are funny nonetheless.

Saw an article today that suggest the Final Four site should favor UNC.
Looking at the other games that have been played there, the overall and 3-pt shooting percentages have been well below averages. Asst coaches say the fact it is a huge building and there are no seats behind the baskets on a raised floor makes it very hard on depth perception and that you feel like you are almost playing in space.

This was the building that UConn beat Butler in shooting 34% (Butler shot 19%).

I agree. After playing in our high school gym, the shoot around at Alexander Memorial was a huge shock to me. I can imagine UNC has a big advantage given their style of play and the visuals at the Smith Center.

Red - 2011 in NRG looks similar to the 2013 set-up in the Georgia Dome. It's awkward but not entirely unique. Louisville and Michigan did not seem to have a problem in 2013 and shot well the whole weekend (unfortunately for Syracuse, and hopefully that experience helps Cooney this year).
