Curious if the few weeks off after UGA is enough for him to be healthy for the bowl game in that case.
I hope so. HK absolutely refused to sit out this game, and his toughness and resolve showed. I don't know how severe his injury is, but I'd imagine he'll be nursing that shoulder until the off-season.

How do you know this about his current injury? Just curious. I haven’t heard or read anything official about the diagnosis of his injury, but I don’t keep track of all the team news, so I may have missed this.
May be mistaken, but I thought I heard it mentioned by a teammate in one of the media sessions. I remember being surprised at the specificity of the comment; as I'm sure they are coached to avoid discussing any injury in detail.

Well... now you ruined it.
No, that’s super psycho warfare. They’ll know we think they’ll think it’s a plant, but then they’ll figure we’re trying a psy ops and not practice it. Then we’ll do it and bust the winning explosion play.

Folks around the program have finally opened up a little bit about it - I probably shouldn't say who. One of the big changes that CBK made when he first took over is to cut off injury info - it was immediate and thorough. Kudos to him for reining in the whispers and locking down the gossip-fueled world of injury reports.

The entire athletic department was a leaky dam in terms of info. There was a reason Cabrera went outside of the athletic department when he named an interim AD to head the search for the new AD that ultimately took us to Batt. They learned their lesson on who they could trust during the HFB coaching search, and it's a tight ship now. Notice you don't hear much about possible candidates for head coaching and assistant coach jobs until it's done. It's not just a Brent Key thing.

"High percentage Chance i get to go Ball Out and be a passing Threat"

if That's the case. We have a serious chance to Silent that school in athens

Impressive guys…both of ‘em. Philo’s answer at the end to decline taking credit and put it all on team effort was great to see...

Proud they are GT men!

Agree. Some folks underestimate the ability of GT men to find a way to get 'er done under difficult times. Particularly glad for the seniors to get that 7th win last night, as well as the whole team and staff. Great season considering our SOS and injury situation.

I have read where Key said he would preserve Philo's redshirt, which I agree, and I don't think King will be able to throw downfield since he couldn't after 3 weeks rest before Miami. So if Philo doesn't play and King can't throw, my question is who will be our co-starter with King, hopefully a healthy Pyron, or Brody Rhodes, or our next in line freshman 6'7" 220 LB Graham Knowles who hasnt played a down all season, as I recall?

This is the secret. We are goign to come out in flex bone. Singleton at WR, Blackburn at WR, Haynes, Rutherford, Singleton and Alexander rotating at AB. Boyd and Pyron Rotating at BB. Don't have to throw it down field if you can just option them to death.

Where did you read that? I haven't seen any such quote from Key.

Sorry. really wasnt a quote per se, just a reference to what someone thought Key's stance, or maybe just a lean, was on Philo redshirting this season. Pretty sure it was posted here before NCSU game, but can't say for sure. Since I haven't seen it again, I doubt we really know who is playing before game time. My question was more rhetorical in nature just to elicit some thoughts.

Lol. I hope that’s the case, but it didn't really come across that way when I listened to it. I honestly think he’s got a serious injury in his shoulder that requires surgery. It’s been six weeks since that guy threw a downfield pass in a game. I’d be really surprised if 7 more days all of sudden shows a massive recovery to where it’s just no longer a problem. But…if he could just throw ONE downfield pass on PA it could be a huge advantage. I would consider that “balling out.”
