Shadday comes unwound and commits error giving up run but great play by Kel and McCann to throw out second runner at home.

Up 4-3 with two outs and pitching change. Shadday left with 55-30 (55%) and only 3.2 IP. But I like the quicker pull. Been way to slow to pull in past years IMHO.

But fricking Carpenter comes in and starts off with 4 pitch walk. Buts gets GO to to to 5th GT 4-3.

That was still all on Ryan. If you're hall, you have to trust that your closer can get out of it and Ruan has thrown more pitches than that in multiple games this year. That wasn't on the managing.

He struck out the first two guys including a guy who was 7-8 on the day and a guy who is leading the nation in HRs.

The pitching was also good again today, except for Ryan. I think that we might see more of Carpenter as the season progresses.
