No. Lewis had a subpar coaching record before hitting the undefeated season jackpot.

Houston has a really good coaching history at every stop.

People should be concerned but it has nothing to do with a coach from nearly 30 years ago coaching at the same school.

Houston has a really good coaching history at every stop.

Houston has a nice resume, but ZERO experience as a player or assistant or head coach at a major program. That is concerning, as he has no opportunity to even watch how its done at a P5 school, including the recruiting, organizing, management, fund raising, media, etc.

You must be referring to Pay Dye who left ECU And was very successful at Auburn.

Yeah Houston would be a very underwhelming hire IMO, but he would be a relatively safe hire - similar to how I view BOB.

One was National Coach of the Year at Penn State and won his division four times in six years i the NFL, while the other has been slightly below average at ECU. Yep, very similar

Personally, I don't pay much attention to NFL results/experience - IMO it doesn't necessarily translate to NCAA.

I do think BOB is better option, but so much of our fanbase has no interest in BOB, that it would be viewed as a very vanilla hire (irregardless of how qualified he is).

You may be right, but his record is 20-22 in his four years while they were 14-34 in the fours year prior. While that is much improvement, I would not say it is amazing.

I thought the Whiz would be a solid hire, but was ok with Collins. Then, when I heard that he was bringing his whole staff, including Pat, I had serious doubts about Geoff.
