How much I wish he would come here. UGA fans would lose it. Can't see us outbidding UGA and FL for him though.

Hiring Hayes would be a sign that the basketball Gods are smiling down onto us once again!

Maybe once Hewitts buyout about to be off the books, the curse will be broken and our luck will return.

They're always careful not to say in what role he has a proposal to stay.

ETA: IMHO, if it was a proposal to stay as a coach and simply make more money, wouldn't he have already committed?

Hard to say, some guys really play the "I got this much from X, how much you gonna pay me?" game to the hilt. Sort of like selling a house. I think that can be a dangerous dance, but some guys do it and some do it well.

That dude is a helluva coach. If he was going to make a move, he'd probably just go be a head coach at a low to mid major & go from there, but my guess is he gets paid plenty to keep cranking out elite HS players.

Just so no one thinks you make stuff up .... 'cause nobody thinks that  ....

The search to replace John Dunne at St. Peter’s is underway. A few names that I’ve heard are Seton Hall assistant Shaheen Holloway and Montverde Academy (FL) head coach Kevin Boyle (a St. Peter’s alum). More names as I hear them.

I think Boyle could absolutely step in to a program like St. Peter's, as both an alum & Jersey guy, but I've heard they're the worst funded program in D1, probably less funding than Montverde, and he'd have to start paying state income tax again. Tough call there.

Holloway would be a slam dunk.
