Article from SI on viewership for COFH. Interesting article including several "FIRSTS" in the article. A couple of quotes below.

An average of 8.5 million television viewers – the largest average audience to watch a regular-season game involving an Atlantic Coast Conference team since Week 1 of the 2023 season – was tuned in for the 118th edition of Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate between Georgia Tech and archrival Georgia last Friday on ABC.

"The massive audience for its regular-season finale also marked the third time this season that Georgia Tech drew an average of at least 3.46 million viewers (4.99 million vs. Florida State – Aug. 24 and 3.46 million vs. Miami (Fla.) – Nov. 9). Tech joins Miami as the only ACC teams with three average TV audiences of at least 3.46 million viewers in 2024."

I am surprised GT-ND is not on the list. Had to have pretty good numbers as well.

And in those games we ...
  • Manhandled mighty FSU with multiple 4 and 5 star athletes when no one thought we stood a chance.
  • Made a Heisman trophy finalist QB look like a rookie.
  • And took the team many regard as the best in the SECheat to 8OT in a game most people watching know the refs gave to them.
We showed everyone watching those games that we are a tough, solid program on the rise and likely lit the flame for many future Yellow Jacket fans!

True... all.

BTW, if you want some pure comedy, go onto a mutts' bulletin board and watch how they rationalize the targeting. It's hilarious, if you have the stomach for that sort of stuff. True mental midgets.

Not a surprise. Any mutt fan would disregard the targeting in a heartbeat…and that’s totally understandable since they have a bias for their team. What they don’t seem to understand is that the refs disregarding the targeting in that same heartbeat is a dead giveaway that they had the same pro-uGA bias.

They have zero understanding of this.

It’s interesting and AWESOME that GT-Miami outdrew GT-ND.

ND can get stuffed until they join a conference.

What happened the last time the refs stole a uga game from us?

...I think I remember...
Nothing like what happened Friday has ever happened to us as far as I can remember. A single messed up call here or there? Sure...but this seemed very clearly intentional, and if not then absolutely negligent. For my part, no one will ever be able to convince me that some party didn't alter that game on purpose.

We have lost many heartbreaker to the dogs, but to my 71 year old eyes, this was the worst. A neutral observer would say it was a great football game. We had so many ways we could have won this game, but failing to make the yard and a half after the PI call seemed to me the worst. There are soooo many ways you can make a that distance. One of the many things I love about Key is he really gets the COFH game. Some of my favorite GT coaches said, in effect, it was just another game to them, but Key absolutely burns to win it, as noted above.

Whats bull**** is that the ball is supposed to be placed at the 1 on PI in the end zone. But the refs screwed that up too. They even said “by rule the ball will be placed at the 1. But then they put it at the 1.5.” No one can be as incompetent as they were Friday night

I thought the refs were terrible but they were right to put it at the 1.5.

Some of y’all are running too far with the whole, “the refs stole the game” sentiment IMO. Refs or no refs we had plenty of chances to win the game and didn’t do it. Missed and bad calls happen in every game, even in games Tech wins. Funny I see a lot of posts complaining about officiating when Tech loses, and almost none when we win.

I thought it was half the distance to the goal, thus the 1.5 yard spot.
