Yeah, I didn’t think anything would register on the 28-3 radar. But this feels like that. If they lose the SEC Championship game and go on to win the national title, this will be unbearable.
For me, this game has far surpassed the 1995? game in terms of frustration. Whatever year it was, Hines Ward whined and moaned for a very late DPI call which gave UGA a first down after which they scored to win the game. Obvious ref intimidation and we would have won but for the penalty. That game has nothing on this. When they FINALLY called PI for us and put the ball on the 1 yard line, I was convinced we had just won the game. After that, I was emotionally exhausted for everything else. Hard to beat a team when your best LB goes down and 4 DBs go down. This team has guts, and it’s obvious Key has reinstalled the hate back into COFH.
Our boys want one and they want it badly and they almost got it tonight. Reminds me of 2013 when we lost a game we should have won. 2014 rolls around and we won a game that tried to get stolen from us. Hopefully 2025 comes around and we close it out.
We have struggled all year to finish games out. All we can do is hope that the growing pains we felt this year pays dividends in the future in finishing games.
In my text group we discuss the mental block GT has when the two teams are equally matched. I was watching the game with my wife’s family. Mostly Uga alums but a few not affiliated with either school.I think the problem here is our wins are a couple in 25 years. And that is embarrassing. And losing when you clearly should win; like other years; 2013 comes to mind. 2009. 2006. Blah blah blah get old and it seems to happen so similarly so many times.
Was our performance today embarrassing. Absolutely not. Was inspiring even though we choked the game away. And all of us can see the fight and progress
But its a results business so to speak. And at this rate. Kids born in 2001 will see tech beat uga 9 times by the time they are 75. And thats not where any of us want to be. But thats the rate.
Joe Tessitore was even worseMissed holding, missed that the ball got tipped on the dpi that gifted uga their second td, 50/50 fumble that gifted uga their first td. And on top of all this bs was jesse ****ing palmer slurping carson beck and uga for 4.5 hrs straight.
LOL Yes, that game was on Super Bowl Sunday. Watched both in the Freeman/Montag common area that day.You know what? My initial reaction was “what is Darthdad talking about and then as I read what you wrote I started thinking more and more that that’s not a bad comparison at all. I was at that basketball game. My buddy and I wrote for the Technique covering the team and we drove to that game to cover it. Afterwards we went into our locker room and told the guys that we were so proud of them. A couple of them couldn’t understand why we would say that when they lost. We replied that we know a loss is a loss but we were so proud that they gave every last bit of what they had to win that game. And it was one of the best college basketball games I ever attended. Man that long drive home listening to the Super Bowl was rough, though
1997. And chump bailey caught the TD pass (well it was resulting from a bad coverage tho). For me, this game has far surpassed the 1995? game in terms of frustration. Honestly. The last 24 years have worn so much on me watching this game (in a relative sense as a fan) i am numb. I said it in the 1q we would lose and a reason would be officiating. Lol. I am now at the point of just moving on from this whole charade. I think now more than ever games are being influenced and fixed to support monetary narrativesIn my text group we discuss the mental block GT has when the two teams are equally matched. The unaffiliated ones left early in the fourth quarter thinking things were settled. My son and I both said the game wouldn’t be settled until there was 0 time left. We have seen the movie before. At halftime the dwags were upbeat, saying they were only good for one good half per game. Seemed more cautiously optimistic than a Tech fan would be in the same circumstance.
The silver lining is that next year our schedule is (when compared to this year) easy and we have most of our weapons coming back. We do lose a lot in the trenches so if we can have a good NSD/transfer class coming in we should be serious ACC contenders and also against Ugag. I hope this loss inspires them to not let a game be left to the officials next year.First COFH in Sanford (I was in Athens in ‘16 when we won but at a bar downtown). This is absolute heartache/heartbreak. Maybe there’s a silver lining I can find at the bottom of a beer can

It was rigged for money narratives. Its sad. It’s obvious. Its repetitiveEverybody in the country that watched that game is calling out the super biased officiating. It was rigged, Tech was the better team.
Could have closed it out. I trust King on 3rd and 1 not to fumble. He rarely does fumble. Great play by the Georgia defender. That happens and more than likely cost us the game.Root, you’re right, but you have to admit GT should have closed out the W in this one.
