I really just want a bowl against a P5 opponent, so that means Quicklane, or a tier one bowl. Military or Independence would not be very exciting IMO.

Quick Lane would be crazy to invite us (or any other ACC team for that matter). They'll not sell many tickets at all. Their best bet are Michigan-area teams in the Big10 and MAC.

A quick look at attendance figures proves your point correct. Minnesota vs Central Michigan did 34k. All the others struggled to get to 20k

December 26, 2014 Rutgers vs North Carolina : 23,876
December 28, 2015 Minnesota vs Central Michigan: 34,217
December 26, 2016 Boston College vs Maryland: 19,117
December 26, 2017 Duke vs Northern Illinois: 20,211

Yes and I'm not sure why he didn't. Apparently, nobody but Dan Mullen was interested in him in high school. Typical: there's nobody with a better eye for QBs then Mullen, as Kirby Smart will soon learn. But this was a big recruiting miss for us.

thanks, it seems we have a LOT of misses--that's how you get 50th in US in recuiting

I'm sure the Camping World Bowl is just loving their 2 choices this year.

I'm going to guess these:

Camping World Bowl: NC State

Music City Bowl: Miami
Sun Bowl: Pitt
Belk Bowl: Virginia
Pinstripe Bowl: Syracuse

Quick Lane Bowl: Georgia Tech
Military Bowl: BC
Birmingham Bowl: Duke
Independence Bowl: Virginia Tech
Gasparilla Bowl: Wake Forest

yep, ANOTHER one of the missing guys from our screen in GA to recruit--6-4, 230 and can THROW --what happened?
In 2013 we had Vad Lee as a SO and Justin Thomas as a FR. What are the chances that this guy was going to be willing to wait it out? Don't get me wrong, it seems like a miss looking back (we didn't even sign a QB in 2013 and then only Mathew Jordan in 2014). We did land Jaylend Ratliffe in 2015 who was going to be the heir apparent for JT before his ATV accident. I still think missing out on Ratliffe was the single biggest thing holding us back the past two years from being a good offense to an excellent offense. Factories can afford to miss out on some big ticket recruits because their backups are still top quality. If we miss on a difference maker, we really have to get lucky with the next man stepping up.
