Boar's Head bacon, extra thick, FSOJ, and a tall stack of home made blueberry pancakes (recipe straight out of my Southern Living cookbook)... Planning on a full day of football watching, and a day of striper fishing on the Chesapeake Bay on Sunday - if I manage to get a hall pass...

I'll be up early with the radio pre game show blaring. Around 7, some folks you know will be showing up to my house for a true Irish breakfast followed by some smash mouth football. We will see how rabid fans of GT FB our guests truly are. The gameday experience at my house is not for the faint of heart. I started digging trenches and laying out the barbed wire a few days ago. I am locked and loaded and my aiming stakes are set.
Your breakfast guests will fight their way through anything to get there. Don't underestimate the chick. She gets rowdy for her football view'n.

No planned game watching in our area for the first time in a long time. I'll wake up before 6 as usual but get out of bed right away. Just thinking about the game will make it impossible to sleep.

1) Check out GTSwarm and chat and listen to pre-game. If I had Irish Breakfast tea I'd do that. But it'll be Earl Grey. {Edit: watch this Hype Video }
2) Put up my GT flag on the new flag pole (which has an American flag currently, no disrespect but .....)
3) Probably no drinking alcohol that early; game day decision. If I don't drink I probably will wait a few more series before calling for the backup QB.
4) Maybe make some grits and a smoothie.
5) As to lucky items to wear, I almost burned a "good luck" jersey last year after a game. Fortunately my daughter stopped me. It now hides in the dark recesses of my closet. So after last year I have no good luck items, will have to make some new ones.
6) Watch game on ESPN2 ..... have to make sure it is carried in our area or use CyberGhost to remote VPN to an area where it is carried......

A bunch of my old pledge brothers (we graduated) are coming over Friday were going out Friday night coming back late Saturday morning and powering through and continuing to drink through our game and the rest of the day. Also have some buffalo chicken dip and some cheese dip with sausage that is going to be destroyed at some point with the munchies we will eat a lot. Gonna put on some lb's and lookin forward to it. Assume at some point I'm going to fall asleep but if I make it through the whole day Saturday I will be impressed with my self. Mind over matter.
This, brothers and sisters, is how you use your GT training; go hard right before the test game, pulling an all-nighter so you are ready at test game time.

BTW Silk - If it has been a while since you got out, I hope that you have trained for this. I would hate for you to fall asleep at 6-ish only to wake up at 11 to see Gameday on the screen. (Don't make a RAT mistake, set an alarm just in case.)

Here, we have a loaf of fresh bread from Fado' Irish Pub in Buckhead. That'll be a nice side as toast or just plain. And, the cabbage/onions are sweating down on the stovetop.

Below, chopped corned-beef is ready. Potatoes have been passed through the mandolin. It'll all come together as an "Irish Cast-Iron Skillet Corned Beef Colcannon." All this will be for breakfast and game-watching tomorrow.

I am the hapless sous chef. @MrsDrJacket is the one with the plan.
