Beating UGA is the most important thing in any sport, if you don’t believe that you’re not a true GT fan

UGA is consistently the 9th most important football game of the year for me. I would lose to them every year if it meant winning the first 8 and going/winning the ACC championship. No need to gatekeep what makes a “real” fan.Not true. Well, not necessarily true.
In basketball, beating that underachieving program should be an afterthought.
I find that ridiculous. You gotta beat uga in everything , I guarantee you uga feels pressure to beat usUGA is consistently the 9th most important football game of the year for me. You must be a relatively new GT fanLike I said. Get over your little brother syndrome.
lol what he has been on the site since 2015 and has 1900 posts you think he's a new fan. UGA has more money, majors, outside support (NCAA), student attendance. They have a hell of a lot more resources than Tech ever will. Tech will always have to work smarter than UGA to win with any consistently. You must be a relatively new GT fan

There are no dennis scott, james forest, tom hammond, mark price, john salley, and there are a lot more on the floor and that kind of talent is what we need! One thing that I read a lot of is that we don’t have the talent... completely false. The talent is here! The offensive scheme is not bad. There are no plays drawn up to utilize the strengths of what we have on our roster. It’s sad
The only argument that we were better off 3 years ago than we are now is that high school juniors and seniors had maybe a little bit of semblance from their early childhood that Tech was a Final Four team. High schoolers now: “You mean one of those 3 irrelevant ACC teams that Duke and UNC tool on? And who tf is Jarrett Jack?”The fact is beating UGA didn't help gregory a single bit and it certainly doesn't come close to making up for the numerous other ways that he hurt the program, that we are still feeling to this day. I'm not a new fan by any means. I'm just not one that gets lost in their hatred for UGA. Whether you believe in Pastner or not there is no real argument that we were better off 3 years ago than we are now.

I agree we're in a better spot now, I'm just throwing out the one argument that we were in a better spot a few years ago is that we still had an ounce of prestige with high school players. Not true. CJP does creative marketing things and packs the house. Our recruits are better, we will get there. Due to injuries last year and losing Okogie, Lammers, and Jackson - we’re basically playing with a compleyely brand new team. We are at a critical point where we need a couple more top 100 guys in the next year, but none of our impact players are going anywhere for 2 years, so our trajectory is up.
Thanks for reminding some of our "fans" of that. He also took us to the NIT once. Gregory, if nothing else was a refreshing change fromHewitt who jerked Tech around about moving to another coaching position, then said his wife didn't want to leave Atlanta. That costs Tech a a bundle of money when they fired Hewitt. I still think that JP can turn this program around, but so far he hasn't been a better coach than Gregory in MO.Gregory beat uga 4 times in a row
The need to beat Tech is so small that in spite of beating Tech 3 straight years Mark Fox still got fired from UGA, a football school, even with a Top 20 recruit and a Top 100 recruit committed at the time to come play for him at UGA.I find that ridiculous. You gotta beat uga in everything , I guarantee you uga feels pressure to beat us
I don’t care how long he’s been on here , I’ve been following gt since 1985 & we can compete & beat uga if the institute would actually trylol what he has been on the site since 2015 and has 1900 posts you think he's a new fan. So what is your big plan to counteract the massive discrepancy in money, majors, and outside supportI don’t care how long he’s been on here , I’ve been following gt since 1985 & we can compete & beat uga if the institute would actually try
I’m tired of the excuses y’all keep making !! GT has won & been on the big stage several times in the pastSo what is your big plan to counteract the massive discrepancy in money, majors, and outside support
That maybe because they’re used to beating us , but I guarantee you that old uga money won’t put up with losing to GtThe need to beat Tech is so small that in spite of beating Tech 3 straight years Mark Fox still got fired from UGA, a football school, even with a Top 20 recruit and a Top 100 recruit committed at the time to come play for him at UGA.
